Its sixteen programs focus on building durable public health systems that serve all people. Focus areas include neglected tropical diseases, vaccines, and health systems strengthening. The Task Force received the 2016 Conrad N. Hilton Humanitarian Prize–the world's largest award of its kind–in recognition of its extraordinary contributions to alleviating human suffering.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Based at the Task Force for Global Health in Decatur, GA, and affiliated with Emory University, the Neglected Tropical Diseases Support Center (NTD-SC) aims to optimize operational research and surveillance to eliminate neglected tropical diseases that threaten the lives and well-being of millions of people in some of the world’s most marginalized communities. This work, conducted in close coordination with partners, addresses challenges facing each phase of the programs targeting the Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs): effectively scaling up to reach those at risk, successfully scaling down when their goals are reached, and finally sustaining the reductions achieved in disease prevalence. The NTD-SC hosts the secretariat for the Coalition for Operational Research on NTDs (COR-NTD), a global partnership focused on supporting this research agenda. The NTD-SC is actively pursuing an expanding portfolio focused on providing important services and support to the NTD community.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This position serves as the lead for a DHIS2-based information system, guiding the system from development through launch and post-launch support in collaboration with donors, software developers, system users, and internal teams of the Task Force for Global Health. The role balances product management and project leadership, with responsibility for delivering the system within scope, timeline, and budget while also ensuring its quality, usability, and strategic direction. It combines project oversight, product ownership, and staff supervision to align technical work with programmatic, operational, and reporting needs; coordinate design, development, testing, rollout, and ongoing support; and ensure the system meets stakeholder expectations.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>System Management:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Provides internal and external thought leadership and serves as expert on product adaption, adoption, and best practices. </li>\n <li>Oversees definition of requirements, user stories, mock-ups/design, user guidance, and documentation. </li>\n <li>Defines requirements and priorities for data outputs, dashboards, and analytic products in collaboration with donors and system users </li>\n <li>Ensures the system produces accurate, timely, and usable analytic outputs for donor reporting and data use. </li>\n <li>Leads internal and external product training and demonstrations and supports implementation readiness, rollout coordination, and related training logistics. </li>\n <li>Oversees the defect resolution process, including project management, requirements gathering and testing, and customer communication throughout the release. </li>\n <li>Identifies opportunities for future optimization, monitors system performance and user needs, and owns product backlog. </li>\n</ul>\n<p>System Leadership and Oversight:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Leads the planning, coordination, and execution of the project to adapt, launch, and support a health information system, with responsibility for scope, budget, timelines, deliverables, stakeholder alignment, and overall system performance. </li>\n <li>Manages project plan development and implementation; monitors budget, scope, milestones, and resource needs, and applies project management tools and methodologies to ensure milestones are achieved and scope is maintained. </li>\n <li>Drives the system testing process, including: development of testing plans, coordination of testing activities, and prioritizing inputs from multiple constituents, including donors, system users, software developers, and internal staff members. </li>\n <li>Facilitates stakeholder meetings and manages communications, follow-up, action items, decisions, next steps, and handoffs across internal teams, system users, developers, and donors. </li>\n <li>Identifies project risks and potential impacts to develop response strategies for managing and mitigating risk factors. </li>\n <li>Manages vendor relationships to maintain alignment on deliverables, timelines, system enhancements, and implementation expectations. </li>\n <li>Closes project contracts by reviewing and validating contractor deliverables and financial reports. </li>\n <li>Leads future funding applications related to system enhancement, expansion, or sustainability. </li>\n <li>Contributes to long-term system strategy, including exploring pathways for making system components available as public goods such as reusable metadata packages or openly licensed applications for the broader DHIS2 and NTD community. </li>\n <li>Supervises assigned staff and supports a healthy team culture, effective performance, collaboration, and staff growth and development. </li>\n</ul>\n<p>ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Participates fully as a member of the Task Force for Global Health by contributing, assisting, and participating in projects, activities, and initiatives as requested by management. </li>\n <li>Up to 10% domestic and international travel may be required.</li>\n <li>Performs other related duties as required.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: </p>\n<ul>\n <li>A bachelor's degree in business, informatics, computer science, public health, or related field and seven years of experience in product management, business analysis, and/or significant project management experience in a software/data systems context OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: </p>\n<ul>\n <li>A master's degree in business, informatics, computer science, public health, or a related field is preferred.</li>\n <li>Previous supervisory experience and demonstrated ability to manage a small team are strongly preferred</li>\n <li>Previous experience managing large ($1M+), complex, donor-funded projects, including development and use of project plans, coordination of multiple stakeholders, oversight of timelines, milestones, deliverables, budgets, expenditures, contracts, and vendor deliverables</li>\n <li>Experience working directly with end users to translate needs into system requirements</li>\n <li>Previous experience developing and/or using DHIS2-based health information systems strongly preferred</li>\n <li>The ability to interact with both internal staff and external clients with diplomacy and tact</li>\n <li>Experience with data system maintenance, support, and troubleshooting</li>\n <li>Experience with governance considerations and management for data systems </li>\n <li>Proven ability to manage projects in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines </li>\n <li>Professional-level proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking); French skills would be an additional asset </li>\n <li>Strong desire and ability to foster an environment of inclusion and belonging</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>NOTE: This role will be granted the opportunity to work from home regularly but must be able to commute to Emory University/The Task Force for Global Health on a flexible weekly schedule based upon business needs.  Schedule is based on agreed upon guidelines of department. This role requires residency in the state of GA.
