Responsibilities include driving light vehicles with trailers, core cutting and sampling, maintaining sample integrity and QA/QC standards, operating various equipment, and supporting the organization and maintenance of the logging facility.</strong></span></h2><h2 style=\"margin-left:.5in;\">Key Responsibilities</h2><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"margin-left: 0.5in;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Operate light vehicles, including pulling trailers, to transport and deliver drill core between project sites and assay laboratories.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Assist with logging process by performing activities including but not limited to loading/unloading boxes, washing core, organization, photographing core, etc.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Prepare core samples by splitting, cutting or whole-core bagging.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Maintain sample integrity by diligent application of sampling best-practices.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Operate equipment possibly including forklift, skid-steer, backhoe, bulldozer, etc.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">General maintenance on/in logging facility.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Prepare QA/QC samples.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Liaise with assay lab as necessary.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Maintain inventory of logging supplies</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Other duties as assigned.</li></ul></div><h2 style=\"margin-left:.5in;\">Qualifications</h2><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"margin-left: 0.5in;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">High School diploma or equivalent required</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Clean driving record required</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Towing experience required</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Excellent safety record and self-motivated</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Able to thrive in a dynamic and challenging environment&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Knowledgeable in basic Microsoft applications including Microsoft Excel</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Strong verbal and written communication skills</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Basic computer skills (Outlook, Word) preferred.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Ability to meet physical demands and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Must pass physical exam, drug screening and background check.&nbsp;</li></ul></div><p style=\"margin-left:.5in;\">Hecla is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
