Resolve compatibility problems; provide complex reference and consultation services to hospitals and transfusion services. Perform automated and manual HLA testing procedures on donor and/or patient samples. Adhere to explicit standard operating procedures and interpret test results in accordance with the applicable regulatory requirements. Provide support, development, and/or technical resource to internal or external customers. Perform on-call duties as required. Provides guidance and training to team members and applies subject-matter expertise to facilitate problem resolution. Must maintain state or board certification, if applicable, and attend continuing education programs. Perform work in compliance with accrediting agency standards.</span></span><span> </span></p></div><div><p><span> </span></p></div><div><p><i><span>WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (Minimum Qualifications):</span></i><span> </span></p></div><div><ul><li><p><span><span>Perform serologic, molecular, and immunologic procedures that may include, but are not limited to, DNA extraction, PCR amplification, sequence-based typing, STR analysis, probe<span> </span></span><span>hybridization/detection,</span><span><span> </span>cytotoxic crossmatching, antibody<span> </span></span><span>screening/identification</span><span><span> </span>by Luminex and/or ELISA assays and other procedures as defined.</span></span><span> </span></p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p><span><span>Recognize testing irregularities, identify the cause, determine the solution and resolve the problem or refer it to the appropriate level.</span></span><span> </span></p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p><span><span>May perform special testing.</span></span><span> </span></p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p><span><span>Perform and review quality control as directed.</span></span><span> </span></p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p><span><span>Review and interpret final results; prepare and may review final reports, written or electronic.</span></span><span> </span></p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p><span><span>Maintain, edit and review computer and manual records to assure accurate record keeping.</span></span><span> </span></p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p><span><span>Maintain accurate, legible, and complete records. Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, repair/vendor communication and validation of laboratory equipment and software maintenance.</span></span><span> </span></p></li></ul></div><div><p><span> </span></p></div><div><p><b><span>Standard Schedule</span></b><span><span>:<span> Monday - Friday 7:30a - 4:30p.
