This Engineer will be working in our Design Engineering group as a member of an integrated team responsible for maintaining and sustaining the United States Air Force Test Operations and Sustainment efforts.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><em>Open to internal candidates only</em></strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Job Summary</strong></p>\n<p>An exciting career opportunity exists for an experienced Design Engineer to lead cross discipline projects across our test facilities. This position is a mix of office work and time spent in the field working with design engineers and system engineers.</p>\n<p><u>              </u></p>\n<p><strong>Job Duties:</strong></p>\n<p>This position provides the following engineering services:</p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Coordinate design engineering tasks to maintain project schedules and open communications.</li>\n <li>Drive project success on technical aspects.</li>\n <li>Serve as central point of coordination for a test area that have projects with the Design Group.</li>\n <li>Assign project tasks for Engineers ,Drafters , and Designers and update progress on Deliverables.</li>\n <li>Utilize project management tools and techniques to monitor project status.</li>\n <li>Facilitate the design review process and coordinate customer comment incorporation.</li>\n <li>Prepare status reports for supervision and project management in Aeropropulsion, Flight, and Space and Missiles.</li>\n <li>Work with multiple organizations such as design engineering, planners, schedulers, craft supervisors, engineers in operations and maintenance roles, DoD client, and other contractors.</li>\n <li>Communicate clearly and utilize various methods of communication.</li>\n <li>It is a condition of employment to wear company issued PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) in accordance with supervisory direction and company policy.</li>\n <li>Perform other related duties as required.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Basic Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>BS degree in engineering from an accredited college or university plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience</li>\n <li>Must be able to maintain a Department of Defense Secret level security clearance and access to the AEDC local area network</li>\n <li>Due to Air Force Security requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required for employment at AEDC</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Demonstrated experience leading team on multiple small projects or single large project</li>\n <li>Design engineering experience of 5 years</li>\n <li>Proven ability to coordinate the technical aspects of a project from requirements development to operation turnover</li>\n <li>Proven ability to interact with different organizations and communicate effectively to program managers</li>\n <li>Experience with scheduling software (e.g., Primivera, MS Project) for projects including taking all projects and rolling them up into a current resource workload</li>\n <li>Demonstrated proficiency with standard PC systems and Microsoft office software applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, etc.</li>\n <li>Exhibits strong level of technical curiosity and desire to seek understanding</li>\n <li>Active Department of Defense Secret Security Clearance</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>What We Offer</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Competitive salaries</li>\n <li>Continuing education assistance</li>\n <li>Multiple healthcare benefits packages</li>\n <li>401K with employer matching</li>\n <li>Paid time off (PTO) along with a federally recognized holiday schedule</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Who We Are</strong></p>\n<p>Beyond New Horizons (BNH) is a fully populated joint venture of Astrion and Fluor Federal Services, Inc. formed to provide unmatched Test Operations and Sustainment services for the Arnold Engineering Development Complex.
