    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif;\">We are seeking <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Subject Matter Experts</span> with significant experience in the design, development and operation of missions, spacecraft and instruments relevant to NASA’s goals. We help NASA evaluate proposals and review programs for </span><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif;\">investigations intended to help answer the big questions of Earth Science, Heliophysics, Planetary Science and Astrophysics.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif;\">The EASSS3 contract provides support for proposal evaluations, assessments, </span><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif;\">and studies of programs and missions for NASA’s Science Office for Mission </span><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif;\">Assessments (SOMA) at the Agency’s Langley Research Center in Hampton, </span><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif;\">Virginia. The program provides support to NASA’s Science Mission Directorate </span><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif;\">in evaluating new and innovative approaches for missions intended to help</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif;\">answer the big questions in Earth and Space science.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif;\">As a CTS Part-Time Employee or Consultant you will participate as a Subject </span>Matter Expert on review teams conducting in-depth technical, management and <span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif;\">cost assessments of proposals and Phase A concept studies.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif;\">Our work is performed remotely &amp; an ideal candidate is willing and able to <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">work part-time on an as-needed </span></span><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">basis</span> to support the tasks and has significant direct, hands-on technical or management responsibility in one or more of the following areas:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif;\">Flight Systems</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif;\">Mission Design and Operations, including Trajectory Analysis and Ground Systems</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif;\">Design, Development and Operation of Spacecraft and Spacecraft Subsystems</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif;\">Space Based Instruments including Passive Remote Sensors in all Wavelengths, Active Sensors and Systems, and In-Situ Instruments for Particles and Fields or Direct Material Sampling</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif;\">Systems Engineering for either Spacecraft or Instruments</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif;\">Space Communications and Ground Systems Development and Operations</span></li>\n<li>NASA Mission Leadership</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Applicants must be a US citizen and have a minimum of a Bachelors degree in a STEM or related discipline to their expertise.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>We will work with you to determine your eligibility and identifying Conflicts of Interest.
