Description

JOB DESCRIPTION: The CNC mill Machinist is responsible for the machining of new and repair part products to print specifications. RESPONSBILITES: Perform operational functions of CNC machines, maintain proper maintenance of machine equipment Reading of blueprints, sketches, machine parts or specifications to determine type and dimensions of stock required. Observe machine operation to detect malfunction or out-of-tolerance machining, and adjust machine controls as required. Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes. Maintain a safe work environment and keep work area clean and organized. Conduct all business activities in accordance with company code of conduct, policies and procedures and all applicable legal requirements. Maintain traceability on all parts. All other duties as assigned by your manager *This job description is a summary of the primary job scope and should not be assumed as an all-inclusive description* QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or equivalent. Turbine machining is preferred. 5 years' experience in CNC machining Ability to apply basic written and verbal communication skills. Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions, work orders and drawings. Ability to apply concepts of basic math and basic PC skills . Ability to work in a team environment and effectively communicate. Ability to follow directions and procedures. WORK CONDITIONS: This position is performed in a shop environment. Proficient in the use of hand and power tools at a speed necessary for successful job performance. Frequent standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, reaching, handling. Moving, carrying, lifting, objects in excess of 50 lbs. Working extended hours and standing for extended periods of time. Work in both cold and hot climates. Work in or near industrial hazards. Willingness to work a flexible schedule in order to meet demands of the role.
