    "description": "<h2>Description</h2>\n<p>Provide subject matter expertise to update and execute the Integrated Cultural Resources Management Plan for management of Cultural Resources on Space Launch Delta 45 (SLD 45) Properties. Ensures that SLD 45 complies with all laws related to Cultural Resources and historic properties. Responsibilities include project management, agency consultation, and preparation of archaeological reports. Extensive knowledge of the National Historic Preservation Act and Florida regional experience in all phases of archaeological fieldwork is paramount. The ideal candidate must also demonstrate exceptional communication, organization, and leadership skills.</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Providing extensive professional expertise to support assigned environmental projects through application of professional knowledge in environmental cultural resources management and protection practices, processes and techniques. </li>\n <li>Assignments pertain to establishing and maintaining controls for the evaluation, protection, and preservation of archaeological, historical, and cultural resources located throughout the Space Launch Delta 45 installations, both CONUS and overseas. </li>\n <li>Preparing reports on items of significance as required by federal, state, local and tribal agencies. </li>\n <li>Identifies this information to government and contract design and maintenance activities for consideration and use in project design, Environmental Assessments and Impact Statements, and for decision-making by the Delta leadership and managers.</li>\n <li>Serving as technical authority/focal point for assigned projects. Prepares the planning, programming, and budgeting system (PPBS) documentation in support of assigned projects.</li>\n <li>Responsible for communicating and coordinating assigned project issues with superiors, team members, higher headquarters, regulatory agencies, other installation units, community and other officials, and/or interest groups. </li>\n <li>Ensuring validity of interpretation with regard to significance of findings in the applicable nation, regional, tribal or Department of War context. </li>\n <li>Determining eligibility recommendations of historic and archaeological properties of interest for nomination to the National Register of Historic Places. Nominates potentially eligible resources to the State Historic Preservation Office. </li>\n <li>Evaluating sensitive sites and objects by consulting directly with the appropriate federally recognized sovereign Native American tribal nation when appropriate. </li>\n <li>Applies a broad and diversified professional knowledge of history and archaeology, coupled with knowledge and experience in anthropological and archaeological investigations of the southeastern United States. </li>\n <li>Using all applicable sources and outside review of documentation and artifact collections to research and confirm established conclusions. </li>\n <li>Preparing authoritative and comprehensive scientific reports and findings, a synthesis and analysis of a wide variety of data drawn from related studies and research that meet national standards in accordance with the Secretary of the Interior's Standards and Guidelines.</li>\n <li>Responsible for executing assigned projects, in-house and by contract, to comply with all applicable Federal, state, and local environmental laws and policies. </li>\n <li>Executing short-term and long-term goals and objectives of the Cultural Resources Program and also priorities to support the Integrated Cultural Resources Management Plans (ICRMP) utilizing available resources. </li>\n <li>Representing the Environmental Program Element as the technical environmental historical/archaeological scientific authority on assigned projects. </li>\n <li>Serving as a historical/archaeological sciences technical advisor in executing assigned projects to the Environmental Protection Committee and as a support member on other applicable boards and committees. </li>\n <li>Coordinating and implementing financial and budget execution activities to include obligations, expenditures, and shortfalls for the assigned projects. Serves as the focal point for assigned contracted projects. Developing status reports on assigned projects. Coordinates assigned project inputs to Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) requests, if applicable.</li>\n <li>Coordinating curricula and training for assigned program areas at the installation. Prepares and implements various training sessions and briefings.</li>\n <li>Supporting quality improvement and promotes the environmental awareness program. </li>\n <li>Maintaining currency in project management techniques, emerging technologies, and in the use of Geographic Information Systems.</li>\n <li>Complying with health, safety, and environmental rules and procedures and performs work that enhances the safety of the work environment.</li>\n <li>Ensuring adherence to Federal, state, and local codes concerning health, safety, and the environment.</li>\n <li>Ensuring adherence to security practices</li>\n</ul>\n<p><em>#LI-HK1</em></p>\n<h2>Requirements</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s Degree in archaeology or anthropology.</li>\n <li>10 years of supervisory archaeological experience in the Southeast, with at least 5 years in Florida.</li>\n <li>Extensive knowledge of the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA) and proven Southeast regional experience across all phases of archaeological fieldwork.</li>\n <li>Active Secret Clearance</li>\n <li>Exceptional communication, organizational, and leadership skills.</li>\n <li>Strong technical writing, critical thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of archaeological science and historic preservation principles, practices, techniques, and procedures to effectively perform project development, execution, training, and advisory services in assigned projects.</li>\n <li>Knowledge and ability to troubleshoot problems requiring investigation of historic and archaeological resources conditions in assigned projects.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and foreign laws, regulations, and other guidance to make decisions and recommendations concerning archaeological science and historic preservation for assigned environmental projects.</li>\n <li>Skill to integrate an interdisciplinary team of professionals to include attorneys, public health specialists, public affairs specialists, biological scientists, environmental engineers, physical scientists, general engineers, community planners, regulators, other governmental officials, and community groups.</li>\n <li>Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy, and establish effective working relationships with others.</li>\n <li>Excellent time management skills to meet deadlines.</li>\n <li>Valid driver’s license.</li>\n <li>Ability to conduct fieldwork in extreme terrain and environmental conditions, if required.</li>\n <li>Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft.</li>\n <li>May be required to work overtime on an unscheduled or emergency basis.</li>\n <li>May be required to serve as a member of the Emergency Response Force during exercises or in the event of an actual emergency.</li>\n <li>Work may involve capture and relocation of wildlife.</li>\n <li>May be required to obtain job-related certifications.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of archaeological science and historic preservation principles, practices, techniques, and procedures to effectively perform project development, execution, training, and advisory services in assigned projects.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Desired Skills</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Master’s degree in archeology or anthropology</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Clearance Information</h2>\n<p><strong>SRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT, THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE U.S. CITIZENSHIP AS WELL AS, A U.S. GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE SECRET LEVEL</strong></p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Travel Requirements</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Occasional travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>About Us</h2>\n<p>Scientific Research Corporation is an advanced information technology and engineering company that provides innovative products and services to government and private industry, as well as independent institutions.
