Description
We are ERock!
ERock is a leader and innovator in distributed energy. ERock has responded to long-term trends in electricity by becoming the first smart-grid supplier to US energy consumers. The company installs, operates, and integrates its highly flexible, low-cost, and quick-response distributed generation to increase reliability and stability, reduce costs and decrease carbon footprint.
At ERock, our backup generators ensure that customers will never be without power, allowing their business to operate normally when there is an outage in the area. Our innovative approach provides customers with highly reliable, ultra-clean backup generation at a fraction of the cost of traditional backup solutions. We seek those who share our commitment to customer service, innovation, and ingenuity.
Program Overview
The Early Career Engineering Rotational Program (Mechanical) is designed for recent graduates seeking hands-on experience across the lifecycle of distributed energy systems. This program provides structured rotations across Engineering, Operations & Maintenance (O&M), and Solutions Engineering/EPC, with each rotation lasting approximately 9 months.
Participants will gain exposure to mechanical systems supporting power generation, including engines, cooling systems, fuel systems, and balance-of-plant equipment while also developing cross-functional knowledge in project execution and field operations.
This program offers a unique opportunity to build both technical depth and operational understanding in a fast-growing energy company.
What You’ll Do
Rotate across Engineering, O&M, and Solutions Engineering/EPC teams over a ~27-month program Support mechanical design and system layout for power generation and microgrid systems Assist with installation, commissioning, and maintenance of mechanical equipment and systems Gain exposure to generators, engines, fuel systems, cooling systems, and auxiliary equipment Participate in troubleshooting and root cause analysis of mechanical and operational issues Work closely with field teams to understand real-world operations and maintenance practices Support project execution, including vendor coordination, scheduling, and field activities Analyze system performance, efficiency, and reliability data Contribute to technical documentation, procedures, and engineering deliverables Learn and apply safety standards, compliance requirements, and operational best practices
