SFC is a refuge for </span><span>persons</span><span> who are experiencing homelessness in the metro Denver area. Our programs and services are tailored toward adults and focus on daytime shelter, social services, health and wellness, housing, employment, and outreach. At SFC, “guests” can work with a variety of specialists, depending on their individual needs, which is often the first step toward transformation and ultimately self-sufficiency. </span></span><span> <br></span><span><span> </span></span><span> </span></p>\n<p><span><span>We are currently looking for a <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Street </span></span></span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span><span>Outreach Worker. </span></span></span><span><span>This is a Full-Time, non-exempt position</span><span> with some evening and </span><span>weekend shifts </span><span>re</span><span>quired and is eligible for an excellent benefits</span><span> package as outlined below. </span></span><span><br></span></p>\n<p><span><span> </span></span><span> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span><span>POSITION OVERVIEW</span></span></span><span><br></span></p>\n<p><span><span>This position will work as part of </span><span>a closely engaged</span><span> team within the Saint Francis </span><span>Center Outr</span><span>each Department. This position is p</span><span>art of </span><span>the Denver Street Outreach Collaborativ</span></span><span><span>e (DSOC), which consists of outreach staff from Saint Francis Center and Colorado Coalition for the Homeless</span><span>, </span><span>in direct collaboration and partnership with the City and County of Denver</span><span>. </span></span><span> </span></p>\n<p><span><span> </span></span><span> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span><span>Job Responsibilities:</span></span></span><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Engage and develop rapport with our unsheltered community members in Denver County by inviting them into services and using trauma-informed practices, motivational interviewing, and person-centered methods. </span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>This position may </span><span>require a response to City-directed outreach requests</span><span>.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>This position may include opportunities to provide </span><span>zone-base</span><span>d </span><span>housing-focused case management support to a </span><span>caseload of unsheltered community members</span><span>.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Collaborate </span><span>and coordinate supportive services within SFC, the larger DSOC teams, and from other organizations</span><span>,</span><span> including within the City and County of Denver.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Participate in shared activities and responsibilities with the greater SFC Outreach team  </span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>As an extension of DSOC, regular coordination and participation in DSOC meetings, trainings, and activities will be expected, to include: the city’s emergency </span><span>cold weather</span><span> night-outreach activation plan </span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Record </span><span>timely</span><span> and thorough documentation of all </span><span>engagement efforts and </span><span>services provided</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>This position</span><span> may</span><span> require extensive walking/covering distances, carrying supplies for outreach activities, and working outdoors in locations with varying terrain across Denver in all weather conditions</span><span>. bold\"><span><span>Requirements/Qualifications</span></span></span><span><span>:</span></span><span><br></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Bachelor’s degree in human services, social work, psychology,</span><span> international relations</span><span>, or other related field preferred or equivalent, related professional experience</span><span>.  </span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>1+ years of street outreach and/or case management experience, preferably with individuals experiencing homelessness</span><span>.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span> </span><span>Required: Valid Driver’s License and willingness/ability to </span><span>drive as part of work duties</span><span>.  </span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span> </span><span>Strong team</span><span> player with </span><span>g</span><span>ood collab</span><span>orative and communication skills</span><span>.  </span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span> </span><span>Ability to manage conflict, mitigate/respond to stressful </span><span>situations,</span><span> and engage traumatic stories.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n<li><span><span>Understanding of</span><span> and experience with addressing the impact of trauma, chronic medical conditions, behavioral health </span><span>challenges,</span><span> and physical disabilities. </span></span><span> </span></li>\n<li><span><span>Ability to understand and </span><span>maintain</span><span> professional boundaries and client confidentiality.</span></span><span><span> </span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Exudes professionalism and has the </span><span>ability</span><span> to listen with care, treat community members and collaborative partners with respect and dignity, and respond to </span><span>each individual’s</span><span> unique needs.</span></span><br></li>\n<li><span><span>Willingness to </span><span>participate</span><span> in SFC agency responsibilities, meetings/retreats, and other backgrounds with various lifestyles, sexual orientations, and of all ages and
