    "description": "<p><span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">JOB TITLE: </span>  Registered Nurse</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">DEPARTMENT: </span>  Detox<br></span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">SUPERVISED BY: </span>  Detox Program Manager</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">SUPERVISES:</span>  None</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">AVALIBILITY: </span><span> </span>  Mostly nights and weekends</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: </span></p>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><br><span>Conduct a full nursing assessment for each admission including, but not limited to, medical and social histories, obtain vital signs, Preliminary Breath Test (PBT); conducts blood glucose level (when indicated), Tuberculosis (Tb) and Urine Drug Screen (UDS) testing.</span></li>\n<li><br><span>Perform an initial screening exam on new/walk-in clients to determine appropriateness for level of care</span></li>\n<li><br><span>Enter and administer all client home medications. Assist with gathering pharmaceutical records when necessary.</span></li>\n<li><br><span>Administer on-site medications, treatments and procedures according to standard nursing practices anD Standing Orders provided by ATS Medical Direction.</span></li>\n<li><br><span>Responsible for the security, administration, and book-keeping/recording of controlled substances administered on site.</span></li>\n<li><br><span>May need to perform or assist with wound care or minor soft tissue procedures.</span></li>\n<li><span>A client-centered and engaged intake process. Assist with de-escalating clients, as necessary.</span></li>\n<li>Assist Advanced Practice Provider and/or Medical Director with implementing orders.</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><br><span>Ensure quality documentation of all patient-related services are completed and maintained.</span></li>\n<li>Assist in agency compliance and development by keeping current with online agency trainings.</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><br><span>Occasionally responsible for on-site visits to various agency satellite programs to conduct client scheduled nursing appointments, medication reconciliations, and/or general nursing duties as required/requested.</span></li>\n<li><br><span>Maintains open lines of communication between nursing shifts, as well as other programs, supervisors, physicians and other healthcare providers as indicated.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">EDUCATION: </span></p>\n<p><span>Nursing degree from an accredited college or university is required. One year of related SUD or behavioral health experience and/or training is preferred.</span></p>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">REQUIREMENTS:</span><br></p>\n<p><span>COVID-19 Vaccine</span></p>\n<p><span>CPR/First Aid</span></p>\n<p><span>Current Licensed LPN or RN in the State of Michigan</span></p>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</span></p>\n<ol>\n<li><span>Admit Medical patients for treatment of opiate and/or alcohol withdrawal</span></li>\n<li><span>Conduct and interpret urine drug screens and breathalyzer tests for clients</span></li>\n<li><span>Medicate residential clients as needed</span></li>\n<li><span>Effectively communicate all pertinent client information at the beginning and end of each shift</span></li>\n<li><span>Charting/progress note of all clients at least once per shift.</span></li>\n<li><span>Properly Discharge patients</span></li>\n<li><span>Count and Log Controlled Substances</span></li>\n<li><span>Work independently on-site, with an on-call medical provider</span></li>\n<li><span>Assist Nurse Practitioner/Medical Director as needed.</span></li>\n<li><span>Other duties as assigned by the Manager</span></li>\n</ol>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<p><span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: </span> </span><span>Able to traverse stairs and lift up to 20 lbs.</span></p>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">SKILLS NEEDED/EXPERIENCE:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Strong computer and data entry skills a must</span></li>\n<li><span>Good communication, writing, and charting skills</span></li>\n<li><span>EMR experience a plus</span></li>\n<li><span>Experience with substance abuse treatment helpful</span></li>\n<li><span>Ability to multitask and de-escalate stressful situations</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>This job description is intended to indicate the kinds of tasks and levels of work that will be required of this position.
