From residential service to large commercial projects, we take pride in doing great work together.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">If you’re looking for meaningful work, real career advancement, and a team that looks out for one another, you’ll find it here.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Position Summary:</span></p>\n<p><span>The Plumbing Apprentice is required to carry out the work assigned to them by the job Foreman or Journeymen.  This includes </span>assisting in the assembly, fabrication, installation and repair of plumbing, water flow and drainage systems in accordance with applicable plumbing codes.<span> </span><span>The Plumbing Apprentice is also responsible for delivering high quality work and productivity and is required to successfully complete the apprenticeship training program to become a skilled Journeyman plumber.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Core Functions:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Perform all work in a safe manner.</li>\n<li>Abide by all safety, conduct and quality policies of Midwestern Mechanical (MWM) and the different work sites.</li>\n<li>Perform a variety of duties under direct supervision of the Journeyman, Foreman, or Site Supervisor. Strives to work independently to complete all aspects of commercial plumbing.</li>\n<li>Repair various types of pipes including iron, steel, copper and pvc.</li>\n<li>Inspect equipment, structures or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.</li>\n<li>Operate powered equipment, including hand tools, stationary machines and others as required.</li>\n<li>Make decisions and solve problems by analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution.</li>\n<li>Maintain a high-quality initiative while completing assigned duties.</li>\n<li>Maintain a professional and positive relationship with customers.</li>\n<li>Respond to emergency situations for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns.</li>\n<li>Test for leaks in new and repaired systems with compressed air and/or water.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Required Skills/Abilities:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Knowledge of plumbing systems.</li>\n<li>Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.</li>\n<li>Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.</li>\n<li>Able to operator a motor vehicle and possess a valid driver’s license.</li>\n<li>Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision.</li>\n<li>Good communication skills for communicating with management, city officials, on-site customers and other employees.</li>\n<li>Work well under pressure, meeting multiple and sometimes completing deadlines.</li>\n<li>Dependable, punctual, and able to maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.</li>\n<li>Must have the ability to read and interpret written materials.</li>\n<li>Basic math skills for measuring and calculating materials.</li>\n<li>Maintain an active state and city license in all city/states you will perform work in.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Education and Experience:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>High School Diploma or equivalent required.</li>\n<li>Field experience in plumbing preferred.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Physical Requirements:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds<span> </span>regularly and occasionally heavier loads with assistance.</li>\n<li>Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and crouching throughout the workday.</li>\n<li>Ability to climb ladders and work at heights when required.</li>\n<li>Comfortable working in confined spaces such as crawl spaces and attics.</li>\n<li>Manual dexterity to handle tools and small parts.</li>\n<li>Ability to tolerate exposure to varying temperatures, dust, and outdoor conditions.</li>\n<li>Must have adequate vision and hearing to safely perform tasks and communicate effectively.</li>\n<li>Ability to work extended hours, including evenings or weekends, as needed.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>The above declarations are not intended to be an all-inclusive list of the duties and responsibilities of the job described, nor are they intended to be such a listing of the skills and abilities required to do the job.
