This role contributes to initiatives designed to reduce costs, improve quality of care, and support strategic goals of Emory Healthcare administration.</p>\n<p>The analyst supports performance improvement initiatives by coordinating data collection, conducting analyses, and assisting project teams with operational and financial insights. This position plays an important role in supporting program implementation, monitoring key performance indicators, and providing data-driven recommendations to enhance operational performance and patient care outcomes.</p>\n<h1>RESPONSIBILITIES</h1>\n<h2>Data Analysis and Reporting</h2>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Analyze and evaluate clinical, operational, and financial data to support clinical service line initiatives.</p></li>\n <li><p>Develop and produce reports that track and benchmark:</p>\n  <ul>\n   <li><p>Cost performance</p></li>\n   <li><p>Resource utilization</p></li>\n   <li><p>Patient volumes</p></li>\n   <li><p>Quality indicators and other key performance metrics.</p></li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li><p>Maintain data systems and prepare reports summarizing financial, statistical, and operational performance.</p></li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Program and Performance Improvement Support</h2>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Support performance improvement initiatives aimed at cost reduction, quality improvement, and operational efficiency.</p></li>\n <li><p>Assist project teams in designing and implementing:</p>\n  <ul>\n   <li><p>Care pathways</p></li>\n   <li><p>Utilization reduction initiatives</p></li>\n   <li><p>Cost containment strategies</p></li>\n   <li><p>Standardization efforts across clinical programs.</p></li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li><p>Assist with management of project deliverables, including status reporting and risk escalation.</p></li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Data Collection and Research</h2>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Coordinate collection, interpretation, and analysis of data related to new products, services, or clinical programs.</p></li>\n <li><p>Identify and validate multiple data sources including:</p>\n  <ul>\n   <li><p>Medical records</p></li>\n   <li><p>Financial data</p></li>\n   <li><p>Patient volume data</p></li>\n   <li><p>Competitor and market data</p></li>\n   <li><p>Benchmark data from peer institutions</p></li>\n   <li><p>Utilization metrics.</p></li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Program Evaluation and Strategic Insights</h2>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Assist with the evaluation of existing products, programs, and clinical initiatives.</p></li>\n <li><p>Provide recommendations for improvements, corrective actions, or program modifications.</p></li>\n <li><p>Develop an understanding of healthcare provider challenges, operational models, and healthcare value chains.</p></li>\n <li><p>Analyze trends and relationships related to volume, pricing, revenue generation, and cost drivers within the healthcare system.</p></li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Stakeholder Collaboration</h2>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Maintain working relationships with:</p>\n  <ul>\n   <li><p>Physicians</p></li>\n   <li><p>Administrators</p></li>\n   <li><p>Hospital departments</p></li>\n   <li><p>Clinical personnel</p></li>\n   <li><p>Third-party payors.</p></li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li><p>Facilitate communication and collaboration to support the progress of clinical service line initiatives and program objectives.</p></li>\n</ul>\n<h1>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS</h1>\n<h2>Education</h2>\n<p>Bachelor’s degree in one of the following or a related field:</p>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Accounting</p></li>\n <li><p>Economics</p></li>\n <li><p>Finance</p></li>\n <li><p>Business Administration</p></li>\n <li><p>Healthcare Administration.</p></li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Experience</h2>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Three (3) years of progressive experience in financial analysis, healthcare analytics, or related analytical roles.</p></li>\n <li><p>Equivalent combinations of education and relevant experience may be considered.</p></li>\n</ul>\n<h1>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities</h1>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Knowledge of project management techniques and methodologies.</p></li>\n <li><p>Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.</p></li>\n <li><p>Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.</p></li>\n <li><p>Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access.</p></li>\n <li><p>Ability to analyze complex datasets and develop actionable insights and recommendations.</p></li>\n <li><p>Understanding of healthcare operations, financial drivers, and performance metrics</p></li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Additional Details</h2>\n<p>Emory is an equal opportunity employer, and qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, protected veteran status or other characteristics protected by state or federal law.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Emory Healthcare is committed to providing reasonable accommodations to qualified individuals with disabilities upon request.
