The goal is to minimize downtime and ensure the efficiency and safety of the plant’s operations.</p>\n<p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Daily Operations Management:</strong>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Supervise and manage the daily maintenance activities of the facility, including inspections, repairs, and troubleshooting of equipment.</li>\n   <li>Coordinate with production managers to ensure that maintenance tasks are carried out without disrupting production schedules.</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li><strong>Preventive Maintenance:</strong>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Develop, implement, and oversee preventive maintenance programs to reduce equipment failures and extend the lifespan of machinery.</li>\n   <li>Schedule and assign routine maintenance tasks to ensure that all equipment is maintained according to manufacturer guidelines and industry standards.</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li><strong>Team Leadership:</strong>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Lead, train, and mentor the maintenance team, ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge necessary to perform their duties effectively.</li>\n   <li>Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li><strong>Budget and Inventory Management:</strong>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Manage the maintenance budget, including tracking expenditures, reducing costs, and optimizing the use of resources.</li>\n   <li>Oversee the inventory of spare parts and maintenance supplies, ensuring that necessary materials are available when needed.</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li><strong>Safety Compliance:</strong>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Enforce safety protocols and procedures, ensuring that maintenance activities are conducted in a safe manner.</li>\n   <li>Conduct safety inspections and audits, addressing any potential hazards promptly.</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li><strong>Emergency Response:</strong>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Lead the response to equipment breakdowns or failures, coordinating rapid repairs to minimize downtime.</li>\n   <li>Maintain an on-call schedule for emergency maintenance outside of regular hours.</li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>ROLE REQUIREMENTS:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>&nbsp;Education:</strong> Bachelor’s degree in engineering, industrial maintenance, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent experience in maintenance management within a steel processing or heavy manufacturing environment is also considered.</li>\n <li><strong>Experience:</strong> Proven experience in a maintenance management role, ideally within the steel or heavy manufacturing industries.</li>\n <li><strong>Technical Expertise:</strong> Strong knowledge of industrial machinery, electrical systems, and maintenance practices.</li>\n <li><strong>Leadership Skills:</strong> Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.</li>\n <li><strong>Problem-Solving:</strong> Ability to quickly diagnose and resolve maintenance issues.</li>\n <li><strong>Computer Skills:</strong> Proficiency in maintenance management software (CMMS), Microsoft Office Suite, and basic project management tools.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>EQUIPMENT KNOWLEDGE:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Industrial machinery (e.g., rolling mills, shears, furnaces)</li>\n <li>Electrical and mechanical systems</li>\n <li>Hydraulics and pneumatics</li>\n <li>CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems)</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>PHYSICAL DEMANDS:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds.</li>\n <li>Capable of working in confined spaces, at heights, and in areas with varying temperatures.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><i>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
