Description MAJOR FUNCTION: The Patient Access Supervisor is responsible for the operations of the hospital and health center Patient Access registration departments. This position manages all Patient Access registration staff and functions including patient registration and preregistration, eligibility verification, scheduling, estimate generation and point of service collections. This leader focuses on process improvement and optimization through interdepartmental collaboration and staff engagement. QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Experience: High School Diploma or equivalency required. Associate degree preferred. 1-3 years of supervisory experience preferred. Hospital customer service experience and strong communication skills required. Experience with scheduling 24 hours operational staff a plus. Knowledge of insurances and patient intake/registration experience required. Certification/Licensure: N/A Knowledge & Skills: Must be able to multi-task in a fast- paced environment. Knowledge of medical terminology and coding is preferred. Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office and PC software required. Must be able to travel to multiple sites.
