Responsibilities include:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Position is to provide ACTT psychiatric services and oversight for our team that serves Cherokee, Clay and Graham counties.</li>\n <li>Analyze and evaluate patient data and tests or examination findings to diagnose nature and extent of behavioral health disorder.</li>\n <li>Prescribe, direct, and administer psychotherapeutic treatments or medications to treat behavioral health, emotional, or behavioral disorders.</li>\n <li>Examine or conduct laboratory or diagnostic tests on patient to provide information on general physical condition and behavioral health disorder.</li>\n <li>Advise and inform guardians, relatives, and significant others of patients' conditions and treatment.</li>\n <li>Design individualized care plans, using a variety of treatments.</li>\n <li>Collaborate with other behavioral health professionals to discuss individual patient treatment plans and progress. </li>\n <li>Maintain patient information and records, including social and medical history obtained from patients, relatives and other professionals.</li>\n <li>Counsel outpatient appointments during office visits.</li>\n <li>Serve on committees to promote and maintain community behavioral health services and delivery systems.</li>\n <li>Act as a Collaborating Provider for Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners.</li>\n <li>Responsible for understanding and following the BRCHS-Meridian Performance Improvement Plan and established safety policies and procedures.</li>\n <li>Responsible for understanding and participating in all aspects of the BRCHS-Meridian Corporate Compliance Program.</li>\n <li>Builds a positive work environment by working cooperatively within department and with other areas through teamwork, interpersonal skills, and personal improvement/initiative.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>What We're Looking For:</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Medical degree from an accredited University.</li>\n <li>Board certification in Psychiatry.</li>\n <li>Five years of clinical practice experience.</li>\n <li>Currently licensed to practice medicine in the State of North Carolina.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>About Blue Ridge Health:</h2>\n<p>At Blue Ridge Health our mission is to improve Health, inspire Hope, and advance Healing through access to Compassionate, Affordable, and Quality Care.
