    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong>JOB SUMMARY</strong></p><p>This contract position is responsible for providing counseling services for individuals, groups, and couples, including adults and youth through the agency&rsquo;s private insurance program. &nbsp;If the candidate is not already credentialed with the various insurance providers used by our agency, credentialing will happen within the first 30-120 days from the date of signing an agreement to provide contract counseling.&nbsp;</p><p>Lakeshore Counseling Center-Northshore office&rsquo;s operating hours are 8:30 a.m. &ndash; 8:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, some Saturday and Sunday opportunities are available as well. &nbsp;The therapist would be able to define a set or flexible schedule based on counselor availability, the needs of the clients, and the appointment opportunities available. &nbsp; &nbsp;The number of hours a week varies based on the therapist&#39;s preference and the client&#39;s needs. &nbsp;Some telehealth opportunities are available based on credentialing.</p><p>Lakeshore Counseling Center-Southshore (New Orleans &ndash; Mid-City) office&rsquo;s normal operating hours are Monday &ndash; Friday, 9:00 a.m.&ndash; 5:00 p.m. with the flexibility of 5-40 hrs. per week - with scheduled after-hours appointments available. Weekend and evening hours are provided as needed. &nbsp;Some telehealth opportunities are available based on credentialing.</p><p><strong>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p><ol start=\"1\" type=\"1\"><li>Provide on-time, high-quality counseling services to clients</li><li>Ensures diagnosis, treatment plan and notes are completed in a timely fashion within the agency&rsquo;s Practice Management Software for Behavioral Health</li><li>Ensures that services are provided according to standards established by VOASELA, Inc.&nbsp;</li></ol><p><strong>KEY CONTACTS</strong></p><p>Maintains critical relationships with the following:&nbsp;</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Area physicians, attorneys, churches and social service networks</li></ul><p><strong>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:</strong></p><p>This position requires knowledge, skills, and abilities equivalent to:</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Master&rsquo;s degree in human service Field and Licensure- LPC, LMFT, or LCSW required.</li><li>Strong verbal communication skills and demonstrated ability to write clearly and persuasively</li><li>Prior experience working with persons with emotional or mental health concerns</li><li>Experience in different types of modalities</li></ul><p><strong>REQUIREMENTS:</strong></p><p>This position requires the candidate to have the following:</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Professional liability insurance with $1,000,000/$3,000,000 coverage</li><li>Current license through either the Louisiana State Board of Social Work Examiners or State of Louisiana Licensed Professional Counselors Board of Examiners</li></ul><p><strong>WORKING CONDITIONS</strong></p><p>This position requires travel to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position.
