This role is ideal for technicians with experience in diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, preventive maintenance, and equipment repair.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Technicians work in a professional, team-oriented environment and collaborate daily with yard personnel, drivers, counter staff, and branch managers. This is a union position</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Benefits</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Medical, dental, and vision insurance (individual & family coverage)</li>\n <li>Paid holidays and paid time off, including 7 paid sick days</li>\n <li>401(k) retirement plan with company match</li>\n <li>Paid training and professional development opportunities</li>\n <li>Supportive team culture focused on safety, quality, and communication</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Heavy Equipment Repair</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and mechanical repairs on rental construction equipment</li>\n <li>Travel to job sites for on-site maintenance, service and repairs</li>\n <li>Deliver exceptional customer service through positive, solution‑focused interactions.</li>\n <li>Diagnose and troubleshoot diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems</li>\n <li>Use diagnostic software, gauges, and specialized tools to identify equipment issues</li>\n <li>Test-run equipment to verify repairs and ensure operational safety</li>\n <li>Train and mentor technicians</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Documentation & Teamwork</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Complete work orders, service reports, and maintenance records accurately and on time</li>\n <li>Support shop and customer workflow and assist other technicians as needed</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Hands-on experience as a diesel/heavy equipment mechanic, rental, construction or fleet mechanic.</li>\n <li>High school diploma, trade school certificate or equivalent experience.</li>\n <li>Strong diagnostic skills in mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems</li>\n <li>Valid driver’s license and ability to operate vehicles safely</li>\n <li>Personal set of professional-grade mechanic’s tools</li>\n <li>Ability to work independently and in a team environment</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em>This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
