You will build Prison Fellowship's influence among state policymakers and coalition partners while helping to recruit and engage grassroots and grasstops in assigned target states. <strong>Applicant must live in Oklahoma and be willing to drive to the Oklahoma City, OK area regularly.</strong><br><br><strong>Expectations of this role:</strong></span></p><ul><li><span style=\"font-size:12px;\">Maintain an active relationship with Jesus Christ and support the ministry through prayer and actions</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size:12px;\">Lead state policy campaign in Oklahoma</span></li><li>Work to advance Prison Fellowship's policy initiatives in target states</li><li><span style=\"font-size:12px;\">T</span><span style=\"font-size:12px;\">ravel as necessary to advance policy goals and represent Advocacy at events as requested</span></li><li>Collaborate with grassroots and grasstops at conferences and other events which will include in-prison meetings</li></ul><p><span style=\"font-size:12px;\"><strong>Qualifications:</strong></span></p><ul><li><span style=\"font-size:12px;\">2-5 years of experience in public policy or as a practitioner in the political or justice system</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size:12px;\">2-5 years of experience in coalition building, interacting with the legislative process, mobilizing the faith community as well as demonstrated ability to interact with government leaders and executive level decision makers</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size:12px;\">Bachelor's degree in public policy or other relevant area of study; juris doctorate degree preferred</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size:12px;\">Knowledge of public policy, the criminal justice system, and coalition building</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size:12px;\">Ability to draft one-pagers, model legislation, testimony, and model constituent emails</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size:12px;\">Proficiency in MS Office and social network platforms</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size:12px;\">Sound judgement and analytical skills; political savvy  </span></li><li><span style=\"font-size:12px;\">Must be able to operate a motor vehicle and regularly lift office supplies weighing up to 20 pounds</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size:12px;\"><em>This is a full-time remote position in Oklahoma with a heavy travel component of up to 50%, and the driving aspect of this role is subject to certain driving record and insurance requirements</em></span></li></ul><p><span style=\"font-size:12px;\"><b>What we offer: </b><br><br>At Prison Fellowship, our goal is to support the total well-being of all our employees.
