With a focus on reliability, performance, and environmental stewardship, Smardt continues to redefine industry standards through advanced engineering and a commitment to a more sustainable future.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What We're Looking For:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Purchase materials for manufacturing and other business objectives.  Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, the ideal candidate will be flexible, dynamic and resourceful.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What You'll Do:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Organize material deliveries with the Transport Coordinator</li>\n<li>Assess purchasing requirements and develop specifications for equipment, material, and supplies to be purchased.</li>\n<li>Invite tenders, consult with suppliers, and review quotations, and negotiate pricing.</li>\n<li>Follow purchases with suppliers to deliveries according to the Production schedule.</li>\n<li>Analyze consumption to establish and monitor re-order points through MRP/ERP.</li>\n<li>Manage select material shortages.</li>\n<li>Resolve payment issues and audit POs/Invoices for discrepancies.</li>\n<li>Resolve issues with orders/materials as needed.</li>\n<li>Recommend industry best practices and drive continuous improvement.</li>\n<li>Create the plan for the required materials.<br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What You'll Bring:</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Skills and Competencies:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Excellent written/verbal communication skills.</li>\n<li>Ability to gather and analyze data and to work with figures.</li>\n<li>Ability to multitask and adapt to a highly dynamic and fast-paced environment.</li>\n<li>Autonomous, quick learner, and self-motivated.</li>\n<li>Good reasoning skills and sound judgement.</li>\n<li>Attention to detail.</li>\n<li>Positive attitude</li>\n<li>Agile/flexible for a new environment</li>\n<li>Motivated to learn.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Education and Experience:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Post-secondary education in related field.
