Description
TITLE: Breast Sizer
SAFETY
DUTIES: Wear proper personal protective equipment such as, earplugs, gloves, safety eyeglasses and smock. Keep hands away from moving part. Use proper lifting techniques. Always keep assigned area clean and organized. Report any accidents, unsafe equipment or area to the line leader or supervisor.
GENERAL
DUTIES: Cut chicken breast.
SPECIFIC
DUTIES: Employee will clock in and gather their supplies at the supply room when arrive at the facility. Employee will sanitize before gloving and after reporting to the work area. Employee will receive instructions from the line leader or supervisor.
JOB
SPECIFICS: Employee will stand at a 3 – 3.5 ft. high cutting table. Employee will use bands to pick up empty boxes and place on table next to workstation. Employee will pick up raw chicken breast with gloved hands from workstation. Employee will then cut raw breast with a sharp knife to a specific weight. After the employee has cut the raw breast to a specified weight and weighed the product on a scale located next to workstation the breast piece will be placed inside box for packing. Employee will occasionally use a steel to sharpen knife. The employee may be assigned other job tasks and duties as needed by the department.
Responsible for help producing safe, legal, and authentic products to the quality expectations of the customer. Supports, implements, and helps maintain and improve all Quality Management programs and procedures. Responsible for implementation, improvement, and enforcement of all programs and procedures related to BRC.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Standing at a 3 – 3.5 ft. high table 100% of the time. Moderate reaching, bending. Use of both hands 100% of the time. Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment at all times.
ENVIRONMENT: Must be able to work in temperatures between 45° - 60° F 100% of the time. Medium noise level (hearing protection required). Wet and slippery floors, equipment, hands 100% of the time. Because processors work with knives and sharp machinery, there is a risk of accidental injuries, ranging from minor cuts to finger or limb amputations.
EDUCATION: Minimum education required. Must be able to understand basic instructions from the lead/supervisor. Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment at all times.
