If you are looking for a highly technical career in a challenging environment, please contact us today.</p><p data-pasted=\"true\"><strong>Position Summary</strong></p><p>The EHS/Facilities Engineer is responsible for supporting and maintaining the company&rsquo;s environmental, health, safety, and facility operations programs. This position helps ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental regulations, company safety policies, and facility maintenance standards while promoting a safe, clean, and efficient workplace environment.</p><p>The EHS/Facilities Engineer will work closely with management, supervisors, maintenance personnel, and employees to support safety initiatives, coordinate training, maintain documentation, and oversee facility-related projects and repairs.</p><p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</strong></p><p><strong>Environmental Health &amp; Safety (EHS)</strong></p><p>&bull; Assist in administering and maintaining company safety programs and OSHA compliance initiatives.&nbsp;</p><p>&bull; Coordinate and track required employee safety training.&nbsp;</p><p>&bull; Conduct routine safety inspections and hazard assessments throughout the facility.&nbsp;</p><p>&bull; Investigate workplace incidents, injuries, near misses, and unsafe conditions.&nbsp;</p><p>&bull; Maintain OSHA logs, safety records, SDS binders, and compliance documentation.&nbsp;</p><p>&bull; Assist with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), PPE, Hazard Communication, Hearing Conservation, Respiratory Protection, and Emergency Action Plans.&nbsp;</p><p>&bull; Coordinate emergency evacuation drills and safety meetings.&nbsp;</p><p>&bull; Ensure safety signage and postings are current and properly displayed.&nbsp;</p><p>&bull; Monitor compliance with company safety rules and report violations to management.&nbsp;</p><p>&bull; Assist with workers&rsquo; compensation documentation and incident follow-up.&nbsp;</p><p>&bull; Coordinate vendor services related to safety compliance and environmental requirements.&nbsp;</p><p>&bull; Maintain chemical inventories and ensure proper storage procedures are followed.&nbsp;</p><p>&bull; Support continuous improvement initiatives related to workplace safety and environmental compliance.&nbsp;</p><p style=\"margin-left:.5in;\"><br></p><p>&nbsp;<strong>Facilities:</strong></p><p>&bull; Coordinate facility maintenance requests and repairs.&nbsp;</p><p>&bull; Work with outside vendors and contractors for building maintenance and services.&nbsp;</p><p>&bull; Monitor building systems including HVAC, lighting, plumbing, fire protection, and security systems.&nbsp;</p><p>&bull; Assist with maintaining facility cleanliness, organization, and housekeeping standards.&nbsp;</p><p>&bull; Coordinate inspections and preventative maintenance schedules.&nbsp;</p><p>&bull; Maintain facility-related records, permits, and service contracts.&nbsp;</p><p>&bull; Support office moves, workstation setups, and facility improvement projects.&nbsp;</p><p>&bull; Assist in managing waste disposal and recycling programs.&nbsp;</p><p>&bull; Ensure common areas, break rooms, and exterior grounds are maintained appropriately.&nbsp;</p><p>&bull; Coordinate snow removal, landscaping, pest control, and janitorial services as needed.&nbsp;</p><p style=\"margin-left:.5in;\"><br></p><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><p>&bull; Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Environmental Health &amp; Safety, Occupational Safety, Facilities Management, Industrial Engineer or related field preferred.&nbsp;</p><p>&bull; 2&ndash;5 years of EHS, facilities, manufacturing, or related experience preferred.&nbsp;</p><p>&bull; Knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety practices.&nbsp;</p><p>&bull; Experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred.&nbsp;</p><p>&bull; Strong organizational and documentation skills.&nbsp;</p><p>&bull; Ability to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines.&nbsp;</p><p>&bull; Strong communication and interpersonal skills.&nbsp;</p><p>&bull; Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.&nbsp;</p><p>&bull; Ability to work independently and collaboratively with all levels of employees.&nbsp;</p><p>&bull; OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification.&nbsp;</p><p>&bull; First Aid/CPR certification.&nbsp;</p><p>&bull; Experience with ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 14000 &amp; ISO 45001 environments.&nbsp;</p><p>&bull; Experience coordinating contractors and facility vendors.&nbsp;</p><p>&bull; Forklift certification knowledge or experience.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Physical Requirements:</strong></p><p>&bull; Ability to walk throughout the facility for extended periods.&nbsp;</p><p>&bull; Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.&nbsp;</p><p>&bull; Ability to work in both office and manufacturing environments.&nbsp;</p><p>&bull; Ability to respond to emergencies and facility issues as needed.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\" data-pasted=\"true\">AAP/EEO Statement<br>Metallized Carbon Corporation has been and will continue to be an equal opportunity employer.
