With a rich history of excellence, Zodiac Maritime Limited is committed to innovation, sustainability, and high performance.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">In this pivotal role, you will ensure the technical reliability and operational efficiency of a diverse fleet, collaborating with talented professionals and driving success in a fast-paced environment.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">Key responsibilities and primary deliverables</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">Technical</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Prioritisation of safety, reliability, asset condition and cost competitiveness.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Monitoring vessel performance, trouble shooting faults, identifying root cause &amp; implementing corrective actions as needed.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Oversight of both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, repairs, and modifications to hull and machinery.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Planning and coordination of vessel inspections and dry-docking activities.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Assurance that all vessel certifications and surveys comply with class, flag, and international standards.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">The conduct of technical inspections and vetting assessments, travelling globally to visit vessels when required.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">In support of the above, preparation and deliver detailed daily, weekly and monthly reports to management (on a routine basis). On an 'ad hoc' basis, escalation of key situations or data to management as required.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">Leadership and Communication</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Effective sea-to-shore leadership and communication, actively engaging with officers and crew (including the development of individuals).</span><br></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Management and oversight of onboard staff, advising, coaching and mentoring to build capability and competence.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">Continuous improvement and efficiencies</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">The proactive management of financial budgets (OPEX, CAPEX) for maintenance, repairs, stores and dry-docking.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Proposal of innovative solutions, cost saving measures, and operational improvements.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Evaluation and assurance of service quality from shipyards, workshops, and suppliers, meeting regulatory and customer standards</span><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Provision of operational insights to enhance the safety and efficiency of future vessel designs.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Active contribution to decarbonisation initiatives.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">Skills profile</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Strong interpersonal, decision-making and problem solving (methodical, structured) abilities with a focus on building and leading effective teams.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Proven ability to manage budgets, negotiate effectively, and ensure cost-efficiency in technical operations.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">A driven professional who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment while meeting deadlines and handling ambiguity.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">Relevant experience &amp; education</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Sailed to Master or C/E with Container (or Bulk Carriers) experience (across a variety of ship sizes / engine types).</span><br></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Subsequently, strong safety assurance, extensive dry dock coordination/experience preferred, demonstrated delivery of efficiencies.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">Education</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Class 1 certifcation</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Degree in Marine Engineering, Nautical Science, or equivalent qualifications</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Due to the volume of applicants, only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.</span></p>",
