This position is responsible for maintaining the overall operation and appearance of the hotel property, ensuring a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for guests and team members.</p><p>The ideal candidate will have experience in general hotel maintenance, preventative maintenance programs, troubleshooting, and repair of building systems and guestroom issues.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Essential Duties &amp; Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Perform preventative maintenance and repairs throughout the hotel, including guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces</li><li>Troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems</li><li>Respond promptly to maintenance requests and guest service calls</li><li>Complete routine inspections of equipment, systems, and facilities</li><li>Maintain pool, grounds, lighting, and exterior areas as assigned</li><li>Ensure compliance with safety standards, OSHA regulations, and company policies</li><li>Assist with painting, carpentry, drywall, and minor renovation projects</li><li>Maintain accurate maintenance logs and work orders</li><li>Support emergency response procedures and after-hours needs when necessary</li><li>Work collaboratively with all hotel departments to ensure excellent guest satisfaction</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Previous hotel maintenance or engineering experience preferred</li><li>Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building maintenance</li><li>Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively</li><li>Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills</li><li>Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks</li><li>Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed</li><li>Excellent communication and customer service skills</li><li>High school diploma or equivalent preferred&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Physical Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds</li><li>Ability to climb ladders and work in varying temperatures and environments</li><li>Must be able to respond to emergency maintenance situations&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Benefits</strong></p><ul><li>Health, dental, and vision insurance</li><li>Competitive pay</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>401(k) plan</li><li>Career growth opportunities with StepStone Hospitality</li></ul><p>StepStone Hospitality is an equal opportunity employer committed to creating an inclusive workplace for all team members.</p>",
