This position requires the safe and timely delivery of assigned loads to final destinations.\\n\\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:\\n\\n\\n\\tKnow and actively demonstrate, daily, our Company Mission Statement and our Core Values.\\n\\tMaintain uniform standard, as detailed in the Employee Manual, for all worked hours.\\n\\tMaintain a clear driving record.\\n\\tMaintain safe driving practices and speeds.\\n\\tMaintain a neat and orderly vehicle.\\n\\tMove supplies and equipment when needed to ensure efficient storage space in delivery vehicle.\\n\\tReceive and verify contents of all shipments to be delivered.\\n\\tMake notes on invoices showing variances and products damaged during store deliveries.\\n\\tReturn products damaged during deliveries, including TABC tax stamps.\\n\\tMaintain driver route sheet after every stop.\\n\\tEnsure compliance with standardized filing system for store-to-store transfer paperwork and pick-ups.\\n\\tMay be required to assist in unloading based on location needs.\\n\\tReceive payment for deliveries and verify amounts accurately.\\n\\tInform manager of inventory issues or discrepancies with invoices encountered on route.\\n\\tProvide feedback to management regarding issues with delivery vans and box trucks.\\n\\tCarry out directives of management efficiently.\\n\\tFulfill responsibilities with care and attention to detail.\\n\\tPractice teamwork and cooperation with others.\\n\\tCreate and maintain strong professional relationships with our customers.\\n\\tProvide superb customer service.\\n\\tPossess time management skills and be able to prioritize tasks.\\n\\tAbility to manage stress in a fast-paced environment.\\n\\tWork in accordance with all safety regulations of Specs Family Partners and OSHA.\\n\\tCommunicate with and understand team members and guests. See invoices, product, payment methods, and signage.\\n\\tBe able to use industrial machines to move full pallets that weigh up to 2400 pounds.\\n\\tOther projects or job duties assigned my management\\n\\tAttendance and timeliness are required. This is not a job you can do from home.\\n\\n\\nSupervisory Responsibilities\\n\\nThis job has no supervisory responsibilities.\\n\\n \\n\\n\\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty listed above satisfactorily. State law says you must be over the age of 21 to work at Specs. Specs insists that you be a human being (my dogs are cute, but they cannot do the job). The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. In other words, here is the technical stuff:\\n\\nEducation or Experience\\n\\nWe would love you to have at least 1-2 years of driving experience. We would like you to have a high school diploma or a general education degree (GED), but sometimes, experience is the best education.\\n\\n\\nLanguage Skills\\n\\nWe need you to be able to read, comprehend and write simple instructions or memos. You must be able to talk and communicate with coworkers and guests. Bilingual is a plus but not required.\\n\\nMathematical Skills\\n\\nYou need the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in both whole numbers and in fractions and decimals without the aid of calculator or abacus. Counting is a major plus too as your count becomes inventory.\\n\\nAttitudinal and Personal Skills\\n\\nYou have the job. Now you need to do the job. You need to be responsible, reliable, and committed to providing excellent service. Patience, friendliness, and an outgoing personality are needed for success. You need to be a self-starter with a strong work ethic who completes job assignments in a timely fashion and then looks for the next task.\\n\\nHours\\n\\nFull Time is typically 40 hours per week. Must be available to work any shift on Friday or Saturday and must be available 80% or more of all shifts each week.\\n\\nPart Time is up to 25 hours per week\\n\\nWe schedule for the needs of our business. Working outside of your scheduled time without Store Manager approval is prohibited. In other words, you cannot decide to make up hours because you missed some time after a night out with your buddies unless your manager oks it.\\n\\nReasoning Ability\\n\\nYou need the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Knowing when to come in from the rain is a plus.\\n\\nCertificates, Licenses\\n\\nValid Class C Drivers License\\n\\n \\n\\nPhysical Demands\\n\\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. You must be able to use a industrial machine to move pallets up to 2400 pounds. Must be able to drive in all types of weather.
