The instructor will be a working professional as well as a teacher and have experience and a strong foundation in commercial art applications. The instructor will have a broad understanding of the aesthetics of design and effective technology. T</span><span style=\"font-size:16px;color:black;\">hrough the use of art and design principles this concentration will prepare students to become successful graphic designers are creative problem-solvers. The instructor will be fully capable of stressing the importance of typography, concept development, image creation, layout, teamwork, production, and disciplined business practices.&nbsp;</span><span style=\"font-size:16px;\">The instructor will plan, prepare and deliver quality instruction to students utilizing approved course curriculum and instructional methods that accommodate multiple learning modalities.&nbsp;</span></p><p>&nbsp;</p><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong>Education:</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree or higher in Art, Graphic Design, or related discipline</li></ul><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>Experience:</strong></p><ul><li>Minimum of 4 years of related practical work experience required in graphic design.</li><li>Prior teaching experience preferred</li></ul><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong>Position Responsibilities:</strong></p><p>&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Facilitate organized, engaging classes based on course objectives and course curriculum</li><li>Assess student learning using appropriate methods</li><li>Monitor and evaluate student progress; provide feedback and advising to students regarding progress</li></ul><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Effectively resolves student concerns or complaints</li><li>Participate in new student orientation, graduation and other campus events, as appropriate</li><li>Participate in professional development activities to maintain currency in the field and with instructional and educational practices and methods</li><li>Other duties as required</li></ul><p><br></p><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong>Competencies:</strong></p><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li>Develops and presents educational materials in an engaging manner</li><li>Demonstrate a high level of discernment and appropriate judgement</li><li>Ability to effectively manage multiple, sometimes competing, priorities</li><li>Project a professional image and provide outstanding customer service</li><li>Keep commitments, meet deadlines, and achieve demanding results</li><li>Practice excellent organizational and recordkeeping skills, with meticulous attention to detail</li><li>Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing</li><li>Speak effectively to both large and small groups of people</li><li>Prepare and conduct effective presentations</li><li>Demonstrate excellent listening skills</li><li>Cooperate and collaborate as a member of a team</li><li>Use Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to prepare and maintain records, correspondence, reports and other data</li></ul><p><br></p></div></div>\n    </div>\n  \n",
