    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\"><strong>SURVEILLANCE OFFICER JOB SCOPE:</strong></p><p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">Surveillance Officers are responsible for understanding and responding to internal property needs. They communicate in a friendly, respectful, and understandable manner. Surveillance Officers work to ensure the safety of our guests, employees, and vendors, while ensuring assets of the property and its occupants are secure.</p><p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">&nbsp;<br><strong>DAILY JOB DUTIES:</strong></p><p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">• Use a CCTV system to monitor and review activity throughout the casino property</p><p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">•&nbsp;Work with employees within the department as well as other departments to investigate incidents</p><p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">•&nbsp;Complete typed reports/logs and preserve video as evidence</p><p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">•&nbsp;Maintain surveillance on all casino operations for errors, theft, fraud and regulatory violations</p><p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">•&nbsp;Respond to casino activity and utilize necessary equipment to identify, record and document illegal and unusual activities occurring on the property</p><p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">•&nbsp;Work with law enforcement agencies to review and investigate crimes, and may represent the casino in litigation as required</p><p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">•&nbsp;Identify and/or review incidents such as departmental violations, risk management concerns, monetary variances and player disputes</p><p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">•&nbsp;Monitor various systems for malfunctions and report/document them as needed</p><p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">&nbsp;</p><p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\"><strong>QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></p><p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">• High School Diploma or equivalent</p><p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">•&nbsp;Must be 21 years of age or older</p><p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">•&nbsp;High degree of professional and personal integrity/ethics</p><p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">•&nbsp;Must have basic computer and arithmetic skills</p><p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">•&nbsp;Must be able to obtain/maintain a gaming license through the MLGCA</p><p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">•&nbsp;Able to work day, evening or overnight shifts, including holidays and weekends</p><p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">•&nbsp;Able to speak, read and understand English</p><p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">•&nbsp;Able to complete an on-the-job 90-day training program, with various tests and assessments</p><p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">&nbsp;</p><p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\"><strong>THE PREFERRED CANDIDATE:</strong></p><p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">• Has had Surveillance employment or equivalent investigation/gaming/casino experience</p><p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">•&nbsp;Has excellent interpersonal and verbal/written skills</p><p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">• Has knowledge of casino table games, cheat tactics, and cash handling scams</p><p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">•&nbsp;Is able to understand and adapt to changing departmental/property/regulatory policies &amp; regulations</p><p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">•&nbsp;Is able to work independently and proactively when work is not assigned</p><p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">•&nbsp;Is naturally curious and enjoys investigating freely</p><p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">&nbsp;</p><p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\"><strong>WORK ENVIRONMENT:</strong></p><p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">•&nbsp;Able to be alert in a high-risk environment; follow detailed procedures and ensure accuracy in documentation and data; carefully monitor gauges, instruments, or processes; concentrate on routine work details and organize and maintain a system of records</p><p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">•&nbsp;Able to respond calmly in crisis and mentally stressful situations, and can make rational decisions</p><p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">•&nbsp;Able to lift and carry up to 20 pounds</p><p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">•&nbsp;Able to respond to audible and visual cues and alarms</p><p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">•&nbsp;Able to sit for extended periods of time</p><p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">•&nbsp;Able to control a joystick and inputs on keypads</p><p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">•&nbsp;Able to speak clearly and comfortably on a phone and/or handheld radio</p><p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">•&nbsp;Must have good personal hygiene and a professional appearance</p><p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">&nbsp;</p><p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\"><strong>COMPENSATION &amp; BENEFITS:</strong></p><p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">•&nbsp;$21.00 per hour</p><p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">•&nbsp;40 hour scheduled work week, with consecutive days off, generally static</p><p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">•&nbsp;Overtime opportunities available, when necessary, typically first come first serve</p><p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">•&nbsp;Bi-weekly pay dates</p><p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">•&nbsp;PTO, 401(k), Medical, Dental, Vision, Life &amp; Disability Insurance, Holiday Pay</p>",
