The role of the tour guide is to cultivate a memorable, welcoming and informative campus experience in order to allow prospective families to understand what it&rsquo;s like to become a part of the DelVal family as an undergraduate student.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Traits of a RAMbassador:</strong> enthusiastic spokesperson, positive representative of the student body, friendly, passionate, spirited, outgoing, and genuine.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Qualifications</strong>&nbsp;</p><ul class=\"decimal_type\"><li>Full time undergraduate student for at least 1 semester <em>or</em> 15 credits&nbsp;</li><li>Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills&nbsp;</li><li>Effective monitoring and time management&nbsp;</li><li>Confidence to speak in front of large groups&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to work well under pressure and answer tough questions&nbsp;</li><li>Must maintain a 2.5 cumulative GPA&nbsp;</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong>&nbsp;</p><p>Showcasing (Touring) the campus and hands-on, experiential model of learning to prospective students and their family is the primary priority of all RAMbassadors at all times. Apart from that, among other tasks, RAMbassadors may also be assigned to&hellip;&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Planning and preparing for all on-campus recruitment events&nbsp;</li><li>Assisting with admission recruitment mailings&nbsp;</li><li>General office tasks (i.e. filing, inquiry processing, daily packets, counselor lists, special projects, etc.)&nbsp;</li><li>Attendance at all mandatory recruitment events and trainings&nbsp;</li><li>Other on-campus recruitment tasks, as assigned<ol><li>May include lifting small boxes, walking/navigating campus, etc.</li></ol></li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Schedule</strong></p><p>RAMbassadors are scheduled to work tour shifts and other assignments ONLY around their class and athletic schedules. Each semester, the RAMs complete an availability grid detailing the times they are able to work. From there, they are assigned approximately 3-6 hours of work weekly.
