    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p>Our Victoria, BC office has an opportunity for a<strong>&nbsp;Civil EIT</strong>&nbsp;to join our Water group and help to support and grow our Water business. You should be able to evaluate, select, specify, and engineer systems or products for a project. You will perform a variety of tasks which may include calculations, report writing, field work, coordination of simple tasks, and meeting attendance and recording. In general, your role will involve assisting more senior engineers/designers by performing the routine aspects of civil engineering assignments.</p>\n<p>The successful candidate shall be able to demonstrate the following attributes:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Eager to learn, a desire to take initiative.</li>\n <li>The drive to embrace continuous improvement as they develop in their career.</li>\n <li>Demonstrate a willingness to strive for excellence in all aspects of their work activities.</li>\n <li>Finds it personally rewarding to successfully meet and overcome challenges.</li>\n <li>Excellent team and communication skills.</li>\n <li>Demonstrate the ability to build client relationships.</li>\n <li>Flexibility to work beyond regular business hours when needed.</li>\n <li>Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Your Key Responsibilities&nbsp;</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Support for civil systems associated with municipal water and/or wastewater /drainage conveyance facilities.</li>\n <li>Support multi-disciplinary municipal civil projects, related to new build and infrastructure renewal.</li>\n <li>Undertake detailed studies and design tasks associated with water related projects including site civil, conveyance, and water resources projects.</li>\n <li>Perform project administration, including coordination of and preparing reports, gathering information, drafting proposals, drafting correspondence, completing progress reports, and assisting in project management.</li>\n <li>Writing reports, design briefs and technical memos.</li>\n <li>Take responsibility for the quality of your written, technical and graphic work, and for completing work on time and on budget.</li>\n <li>Coordinate design drawing and specification development.</li>\n <li>Attend internal, client, and contactor meetings and document the meetings with minutes.</li>\n <li>Contract Administration as required for a wide variety of construction projects.</li>\n <li>Assist with site visits and field investigations as necessary.</li>\n <li>Perform other duties as required.</li>\n</ul>",
