The engineer collects and analyzes field data, validates product performance, supports reverse engineering initiatives, and contributes to the continuous improvement of product designs and service practices.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Nature and Scope&nbsp;</strong></p><p>This role requires frequent presence at customer sites including mining and heavy industrial operations. The Field Service Engineer supports both commercial and technical activities by providing engineering-level analysis, structured data collection, and performance validation of comminution equipment.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>The position contributes directly to product development by transforming field observations into measurable technical improvements, ensuring that customer operating conditions are reflected in design standards and manufacturing practices.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Principal Accountabilities</strong>&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Provide on-site technical support during inspections, shutdowns, installations, and failure analysis activities.&nbsp;</li><li>Conduct wear studies and structured data collection for crusher and mill liners.<br>Perform laser scanning and dimensional validation using 3D measurement technologies (FARO, Creaform or similar).&nbsp;</li><li>Collect operational and experimental data to support reverse engineering and product improvement initiatives.&nbsp;</li><li>Validate analytical or computational predictions against real operating conditions and test data.&nbsp;</li><li>Interface with engineering and manufacturing teams to recommend design or material modifications that improve performance and wear life.&nbsp;</li><li>Support development and documentation of design standards, installation procedures, and best practices.<br>Prepare technical reports, presentations, and installation documentation for internal and customer use.&nbsp;</li><li>Support field trials, innovation projects, and product performance verification activities.&nbsp;</li><li>Provide technical assistance during commercial discussions and act as the voice of the customer within the organization.&nbsp;</li><li>Support optimization initiatives for crushing and grinding circuits through performance analysis.&nbsp;</li><li>Ensure compliance with all site safety regulations and company safety standards.&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Position Requirements&nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mining Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related technical field.&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Experience&nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li>Minimum two (2) years of experience in mineral processing, comminution equipment, heavy industry maintenance, or field services.&nbsp;</li><li>Experience in crushing or grinding processes is highly desirable.&nbsp;</li><li>Exposure to wear parts such as mill liners, crusher liners, or industrial consumables is an advantage.&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Knowledge and Skills&nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li>Understanding of crushing and grinding equipment and circuits.&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to interpret technical drawings and equipment specifications.&nbsp;</li><li>Analytical capability to correlate field data with equipment performance.&nbsp;</li><li>Familiarity with measurement tools, inspection techniques, or 3D scanning technologies.&nbsp;</li><li>Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with CRM/ERP platforms.&nbsp;</li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills.&nbsp;</li><li>Fluent Spanish and working proficiency in English.&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Competencies</strong>&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Technical problem-solving mindset.&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to work independently in remote industrial locations.&nbsp;</li><li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills.&nbsp;</li><li>Organized and detail-oriented.&nbsp;</li><li>Collaborative and cross-functional teamwork capability.&nbsp;</li><li>Commitment to safety, quality, and professional conduct.&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Other Requirements</strong>&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Ability to travel frequently within Mexico (up to 75 percent), including remote industrial locations, with occasional international travel as required.&nbsp;</li><li>Must have a valid driver’s license, passport, an active credit card in your name (for travel-related expenses), and a valid U.S. visa.&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Physical and Working Conditions&nbsp;</strong></p><p><br></p><p>The employee will regularly work in heavy industrial environments, including climbing stairs and platforms, supervising installations during shutdowns, and working extended shifts when required.
