    "description": "<h2>Position Description</h2>\n<p><strong>At a Glance</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Legrand </strong>has an exciting opportunity for an <strong>Intern</strong> to join the <strong>ZPE Systems Team</strong> in <strong>Blumenau, SC, Brazil</strong>. The intern will work with the Nodegrid OS team in Blumenau, SC, Brazil, interacting with colleagues from all over the world (mainly USA and India) in a highly collaborative environment. We’re interested in seeing them learn and develop skills in topics of interest to ZPE while helping the team deliver real-world software demands and improve internal processes and tools.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>What Will You Do?</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The intern will assist the team in some of the following activities, according to their interests and skills:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Develop and maintain software for Nodegrid OS (an embedded Yocto-based Linux system) using programming languages such as C, C++, Python, JavaScript (NodeJS), Bash, among others, based on existing research and requirements,</li>\n <li>Assist in the initial stages of new feature ideas by researching, mapping requirements, and experimenting with new technologies,</li>\n <li>Contribute to improving the internal tooling and workflows of the development team, such as tweaking internal scripts, improving internal documentation, and experimenting with AI tooling, </li>\n <li>Support the development and debugging of network protocols and services,</li>\n <li>Assist in the maintenance of the open-source third-party software packages contained in NodegridOS, including upgrading and security scanning,</li>\n <li>Assist in the creation and execution of automated software tests with test frameworks such as Jest, Yocto’s ptest, bats, and Robot/Jenkins,</li>\n <li>Prepare documents in Confluence related to the activities performed,</li>\n <li>Communicate regularly with the Scrum team and Project Manager, as well as registering task status in Jira.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Education:</strong> Complete or pursuing Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, engineering, or related field (desired 6th period or later)</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Experience:</strong> No further formal experience required</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Able to write code in at least one of the following programming languages: Bash, Javascript (NodeJS), Python, C, C++</li>\n <li>Basic familiarity with Linux command line as a user</li>\n <li>Basic understanding of computer networking concepts</li>\n <li>Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment</li>\n <li>Able to read English</li>\n <li>Willingness to learn</li>\n <li>Proficiency with AI tools can be a differential but is not a substitute for these skills.
