    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><span><strong>Position Overview</strong></span>: <span>This is the second level of the Engineering classification.&nbsp; Provide engineering/technical expertise to solve more complex problems in a specific area of expertise, with some supervision.&nbsp;Incumbents are expected to develop advanced skills and the ability to work with greater independence.</span></p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><span>Duties &amp; Responsibilities&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</span></p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0.5in\"><span>Under some direct supervision, in the area of expertise will provide:&nbsp;</span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>engineering/technical expertise and guidance in the identification, analysis, and resolution of problems&nbsp;</span></li>\n <li><span>effective planning, organizing, estimating, scheduling, and monitoring of work activities</span></li>\n <li><span>thorough and accurate technical reports, correspondence, documentation, calculations, and sketches</span></li>\n <li><span>continuous improvement of job-related, engineering, technical and professional knowledge, skills and performance</span></li>\n <li><span>effective oral and written communication skills</span></li>\n <li><span>accurate records and files</span></li>\n <li><span>support of the company's goals and represents the company positively and professionally</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><span>Requirements</span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Bachelor’s degree from an EAC/ABET accredited Engineering Program&nbsp;OR&nbsp;an approved evaluation of non-ABET credentials by NCEES&nbsp;OR&nbsp;graduation from a Master’s or Doctoral Program in Engineering from an institution with EAC/ABET accredited Undergraduate Engineering Programs.</span></li>\n <li><span>2 to 4 years’ experience as a practicing engineer&nbsp; &nbsp;</span></li>\n <li><span>Understanding of basic engineering theories and principles.</span></li>\n <li><span>Understanding of basic practices of researching engineering and design issues, evaluating alternatives, making sound recommendations, and preparing and presenting recommendations</span></li>\n <li><span>Ability to deal with a variety of individuals from various socio-economic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds.&nbsp;</span></li>\n <li><span>Good written and oral communication skills.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><span>Other Skills/Abilities</span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Self-Motivated</span></li>\n <li><span>Work independently</span></li>\n <li><span>Team-Oriented</span></li>\n <li><span>Customer Oriented</span></li>\n <li><span>Able to manage multiple tasks and provide leadership to other team members.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\">&nbsp;</p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\"><span><strong>Desired Qualifications</strong></span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Received a passing grade on the Engineering Fundamentals Exam.</span></li>\n <li><span>Understanding of basic principles of project management</span></li>\n <li><span>Experience in the utility industry.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<div style=\"border:1pt solid; padding:1pt 4pt\">\n <p><span>NOTE:&nbsp;This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
