The position offers the opportunity to apply engineering academic knowledge to real-world situations while also learning the business skills needed for a successful consulting career. The position is 20-40 hours/week for approximately 13 to 15 weeks. Preferred candidates would have the ability to return to the position for up to two additional semester rotations during their undergraduate or graduate studies. We offer <u>competitive pay and benefits, and well-being programs</u> to support you and your family. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>To Learn More Visit: http://www.geosyntec.com/careers/.</p>\n<h2>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Assist with engineering calculations;</li>\n <li>Write technical reports, letters, memoranda, plans, specifications, and proposals;</li>\n <li>Data input and analysis, including preparing maps, tables, and figures;</li>\n <li>Follow instructions and interact with engineers, geologists, office administrative staff, CADD operators (draftsmen), contractors, and construction personnel; and</li>\n <li>Potential field support for monitoring, geotechnical and environmental investigation, and construction projects.</li>\n <li>Drive personal, company, and rental vehicles to client or company project or office sites, and other business locations, as needed. </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Education and Licensure</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Currently registered in a Bachelor’s or Master’s university degree program in a relevant engineering discipline. (required)</li>\n <li>Degree focus area in civil, geotechnical, or environmental engineering, or related. (preferred)</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Skills, Experience and Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience with ArcView, CADD, and/or Microsoft Office. (preferred)</li>\n <li>Outstanding academic credentials and exceptional interpersonal, technical writing, oral and written communication, and problem-solving skills. (required)</li>\n <li>Strong oral communication and technical writing skills. (preferred)</li>\n <li>Valid U.S. driver’s license, reliable transportation, and satisfactory driving record for business travel to project sites.
