    "description": "<p>Duties and responsibilities:</p>\n<p>➢ Provide tutoring/consulting in the ARC to multilingual students.<br>➢ Provide a positive, supportive consulting environment, and promote consulting services.<br>➢ Track students’ progress, and bring to the ARC director’s attention any students of concern.<br>➢ Assist with oversight of ARC operations including resources and study areas.<br>➢ Contribute to ARC bank of tutoring/teaching reference materials and resources.<br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Desired qualifications.</p>\n<p>➢ Previous tutoring/consulting/teaching experience.<br>➢ Ability to consult on English writing skills and communication/presentatin skills<br>➢ Experience working with diverse student populations<br>➢ Working knowledge of MS Office programs and online meeting programs for multimodal tutoring sessions<br>➢ Respond to student's messages promptly during service hours<br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Work Hours per student: 15 hours/week during semester session. Seeking 9 student(s). </p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Period: </p>\n<p>August 31- December 18, 2026</p>\n<p>Application Deadline: May 31, 5pm. <br></p>\n<p><br>Location(s): </p>\n<p>G601 (ARC Hall) and G638 (Director)</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Students must meet the following requirements: <br>1) Must have completed at least one semester at Mason Korea and have an official GPA record.<br>2) Be in good academic standing (Cumulative GPA of 2.00 or higher; or as required by the office).<br>3) Have enrolled as student in current semester at least 6 credits. When working during the break, have completed enrollment in the upcoming semester. <br><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>A note on break housing: <br>•If applicable, selected work study students may apply for break IGC housing starting from May 12, 10am. <br>•UL does not guarantee housing during the summer &amp; winter breaks for the work &amp; study program students who apply for the housing.<br>•Work &amp; Study students can reach out to UL Housing Staff or IGC housing office directly if they would like to receive more information about break housing.<br>•The break housing is usually offered on a first-come, first served bases. Please note that the housing office cannot guarantee availability if all rooms are already occupied.<br>•Work &amp; Student students will follow the same procedure as other students (application period, payment deadline, etc.) if they are planning to apply for break housing at IGC.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Please let us know your schedule (if confirmed) in advance.
