This position is responsible for the comprehensive behavioral health services for all student-athletes.</p><ul style=\"-webkit-font-smoothing: antialiased; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255); box-sizing: content-box; color: rgb(51, 51, 51); font-family: OpenSans, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; font-style: normal; font-variant-caps: normal; font-variant-ligatures: normal; font-weight: 400; letter-spacing: normal; margin-bottom: 1rem; margin-top: 0px; orphans: 2; text-align: left; text-decoration-color: initial; text-decoration-style: initial; text-decoration-thickness: initial; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; white-space: normal; widows: 2; word-spacing: 0px;\"><li style=\"-webkit-font-smoothing: antialiased; box-sizing: content-box;\">Provide individual and group psychological services to student-athletes, including initial evaluations, interventions, and overall treatment of planning on psychological issues most salient to student athletes.</li><li style=\"-webkit-font-smoothing: antialiased; box-sizing: content-box;\">Demonstrate competence with delivery of services related to clinical issues experienced by student-athletes including but not limited to: depression, anxiety, substance abuse, mood concerns, eating disorders, grief, suicidal ideation, sexual identity, family crisis, issues related to transition into and out of college, academics, injury, burnout, conflict, interpersonal relationships, social challenges, personal conduct, distress tolerance, stress management.</li><li style=\"-webkit-font-smoothing: antialiased; box-sizing: content-box;\">Work collaboratively within the athletic department and in conjunction with campus health services/mental health, sports medicine staff, manage referrals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for student-athletes needing outside services (team physician, in patient care, etc.). Adhere to all medical directives from the team physician.</li><li style=\"-webkit-font-smoothing: antialiased; box-sizing: content-box;\">Provide professional consultation and outreach to <span class=\"caps\" style=\"-webkit-font-smoothing: antialiased; box-sizing: content-box;\">APSU</span> coaches, staff, and student-athletes regarding issues impacting student-athletes, including but not limited to: body image &amp; disordered eating, other mental health concerns, psychological response to injury, student behavior, and behavioral decision-making in order to enhance the departmental climate for student success.</li><li style=\"-webkit-font-smoothing: antialiased; box-sizing: content-box;\">Contribute to the development and delivery of educational programming on mental health issues and wellness topics, including but not limited to: transitioning in and out of the university, athlete identity, interpersonal relationships, cultivating resilience and perseverance, healthy striving and stress management.</li><li style=\"-webkit-font-smoothing: antialiased; box-sizing: content-box;\">Actively participate in scheduled team and/or department wellness meetings.</li><li style=\"-webkit-font-smoothing: antialiased; box-sizing: content-box;\">Recommend initiatives and implement changes to improve quality and services.</li><li style=\"-webkit-font-smoothing: antialiased;
