Description
Job Summary:
The Director of Value-Added Services coordinates the sales and marketing efforts for a specific product group/service through utilization of branch sales teams. This position also maintains close customer/vendor relations with key accounts/sources while investigating new accounts and sourcing opportunities.
Position will require candidate to be on-site full-time with one of our fabrication facilities; Southwest Suburbs of Chicago, Illinois, Charlotte, North Carolina, or Little Rock, Arkansas.
Essential Job Functions:
Develop and execute sales strategies to drive revenue and margin growth Identify and pursue new markets, customers, and sourcing opportunities Partner with branch sales teams to expand concentration in target industries Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, vendors, and strategic partners Conduct regular sales calls with current and prospective accounts Represent the organization at trade shows and industry events Provide technical sales expertise and support during customer meetings and solution development Lead major quotation efforts in collaboration with product specialists Stay informed on market trends, competitive landscape, and industry developments Hire, develop, and manage product specialists to support business growth Coach and enable branch sales teams to effectively position value-added solutions Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement Monitor market conditions and communicate insights to internal teams, customers, and vendors Use data and customer feedback to refine strategy and improve offerings Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field (Master’s preferred) 5 -8+ years of relevant industry or commercial experience Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and applications Proven ability to drive sales growth and build customer relationships Excellent communication and presentation skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools Willingness to travel as needed Working environment/physical demands:
Primarily office-based with regular travel to customer sites and industry events Other:
