This position provides engineering and technical support from concept development through fielding and sustainment of air armament and conventional munitions systems.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>At the Senior level, the selected candidate will serve as a recognized technical authority, solving complex problems across a broad range of engineering disciplines or within a focused specialty area. This position requires independent execution of high-visibility and mission-critical efforts across the full acquisition life cycle—from concept and requirements development through production, fielding, sustainment, and disposal. The Senior Acquisition Program Engineer will provide authoritative technical recommendations, guide systems engineering rigor, support international armaments cooperation and FMS efforts, and may oversee junior engineering staff.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This is a full-time onsite position at <strong>Eglin Air Force Base, FL</strong>.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities include:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Conduct and support engineering activities across all phases of the DoD acquisition life cycle (Materiel Solution Analysis through Operations & Support), including:\n  <ul>\n   <li>Requirements definition and analysis</li>\n   <li>Architecture design and implementation</li>\n   <li>Integration and verification/validation (V&V)</li>\n   <li>Risk, interface, and configuration management</li>\n   <li>Technical documentation development (e.g., Systems Engineering Plan)</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Plan and execute technical reviews, audits, and assessments (e.g., CDRs, MRAs, TIMs), including development of entry/exit criteria and supporting artifacts.</li>\n <li>Translate DoD user requirements into actionable system and subsystem engineering requirements.</li>\n <li>Conduct engineering trade studies addressing performance, cost, schedule, reliability, maintainability, logistics, and risk.</li>\n <li>Support Analyses of Alternatives (AoAs) in accordance with DoDD 5000.01, DoDI 5000.02, and OSD (PA&E) guidance, utilizing Government-approved models and tools.</li>\n <li>Perform simulation and analytical modeling to assess system performance, effectiveness, logistics, and life-cycle impacts.</li>\n <li>Evaluate system training, simulators, and support equipment requirements.</li>\n <li>Conduct make-or-buy analyses and engineering cost estimates.</li>\n <li>Review and analyze contractor proposals and modifications for technical feasibility, compatibility, and cost effectiveness (non-decision making advisory role).</li>\n <li>Support source selection activities, including documentation development and technical advisory input.</li>\n <li>Develop, review, and integrate milestone documentation, certifications, and periodic reports in accordance with DoDI 5000.02 and applicable AF supplements.</li>\n <li>Apply drafting standards and Government specifications review and monitor contractor drawings for technical accuracy and compliance.</li>\n <li>Provide independent assessments of system production readiness and risk posture.</li>\n <li>Support FMS case management and international armaments cooperation initiatives.</li>\n <li>Provide systems engineering support in compliance with AF SEAM processes.</li>\n <li>Mentor and guide less senior engineers as required.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Citizenship: Must be a US citizen</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em><strong>Minimum Required Qualifications</strong></em></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Must have a <strong>current Secret clearance</strong> and be ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Clearance</li>\n <li>Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in engineering and 13 years of relevant experience; OR Master of Science (MS) degree in engineering and 8 years of relevant experience; OR Ph.D. in related discipline and 3 years of relevant experience\n  <ul>\n   <li><em>One or more engineering degree must be from an ABET-accredited college or university.</em></li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></em></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Missile acquisition experience</li>\n <li>Current Top Secret clearance or higher</li>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET accredited university and 20 years of relevant experience;
