    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p><strong>Universal Windows Direct - Carpentry - Window Field Technician</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Full Time $25/HR!</strong></p>\n<p><strong>*MUST HAVE AT LEAST 1 YEAR OF WINDOW INSTALL OR REPAIR EXPERIENCE*</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The Field Technician will measure, install and test products and provide customers with instructions on the proper usage of the product. The Field Technician will have to travel to our customers' homes or businesses to perform repairs and routine maintenance. The Field Technician should have excellent technical and mechanical skills and have experience with basic hand power, diagnostic tools, and should be physically fit to lift heavy</p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>· Conducting routine inspection and provide accurate measurements of doors and windows.</p>\n<p>· Provide timely and quality repairs of customers' products including, but not limited to, screen installation, sash replacement, glass replacement, hardware replacement, and seal repairs.</p>\n<p>· Provide accurate measurements of doors and windows.</p>\n<p>· Coordinate required return visits; convey needed services, materials, and labor.</p>\n<p>· Perform post-installation inspections.</p>\n<p>· Anticipate obstacles that could impact customer expectations, job costs and/or code performance; recommend solutions.</p>\n<p>· Promoting the company's services.</p>\n<p>· Maintaining your technical and mechanical skills.</p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p>· An Associate degree or technical certification in the industry.</p>\n<p>· Previous experience servicing windows and doors.</p>\n<p>· Previous experience in exterior replacement products.</p>\n<p>· Valid Driver’s License and driving record acceptable to insurance company.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS</strong></p>\n<p>· Ability to work independently and as a team.</p>\n<p>· Managing overtime on service calls with patience and not rushing the job.</p>\n<p>· Excellent customer service and communication skills.</p>\n<p>· The ability to diagnose and solve problems based on customers' non-technical descriptions.</p>\n<p>· Strong working knowledge of equipment and tools used in the industry.</p>\n<p>· Physical fitness to lift heavy equipment, work in confined spaces, and bend frequently.</p>\n<p>· Travel within radius of UWDs locations.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>DISCLAIMER</strong></p>\n<p>Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
