    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><div><div><div><p><strong>Primary Responsibilities:</strong> The Recreational Coach will work together with the Site Supervisor in organizing activities for special needs youth in the after-school Skills Builder&rsquo;s program. This integrated program is designed to serve participants from ages as young as 7 to 22 in an after-school setting. Offering activities involving community integration, technology, independent skills attainment, music &amp; art, social &amp; communication skills, self-help, safety, fitness, and health &amp; nutrition. The Recreation Coach will work in a 3:1 staffing ratio with participant youth. The Recreational Coach is responsible for the safety of all children.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:<br>&nbsp;</strong>Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individual with disabilities to perform the essential functions.</p><ol><li>Supervise youth with special needs during integrated social recreation activities.</li><li>Assist participant youth in meeting individual goals and objectives.</li><li>Write daily notes for each program participant assigned to coach per program day.</li><li>Attend monthly staff meetings.</li><li>Transport youth as needed to community outings.</li><li>Feed and assist participant youth as needed.</li><li>Participate in agency meetings, special events and fundraisers as they are announced.</li><li>Provide site supervisor a minimum of 24 hours advance notice if sick and unable to make it to work.</li><li>Arrive to work promptly as assigned by Site Supervisor.</li><li>Maintain student to client staffing ratios at all times.</li><li>Return calls from Site Supervisor immediately.</li><li>Respond to all oral and written communication from supervisor and administrative office promptly.</li><li>Turn in paperwork as assigned by Site Supervisor.</li><li>Follow dress code assigned by Site Supervisor.</li><li>Keep personnel requirements current during course of employment.&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;</li></ol><p><strong>COMPETENCIES:</strong></p><ul><li>Communication Proficiency</li><li>Decision Making</li><li>Initiative</li><li>Personal Effectiveness/Credibility</li><li>Stress Management/Composure</li><li>Learning Orientation</li><li>Time Management&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>WORK ENVIRONMENT&nbsp;</strong></p><p>This job operates in a community-based environment such as children&rsquo;s recreation centers, parks, and other children&rsquo;s recreational places of interest.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>PHYSICAL DEMANDS</strong></p><p>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing for an entire work shift (3- 8 hours). The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds.
