    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">The Opportunity - Overhead Crane Technician (Journeyperson Electrician)</span></p>\n<p>MM Limited Partnership (MML), a Mikisew Group company, is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Overhead Crane Technician </span>to join our operation at Syncrude Canada Site. MML provides comprehensive Client services in facility maintenance, road and grounds, projects, winterization services and industrial refrigeration services.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Shift: 7 Days on 7 days off (12 hrs /day)</li>\n<li>Camp Accommodations</li>\n<li>Wage: Per collective agreement/General Presidents Maintenance Agreement (GPMA) Must be willing/able to join the Electricians Union IBEW 424 </li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(32, 33, 36); font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">This posting will remain open until suitable candidates have been found. We would like to thank all applicants for your interest in working with our team. </span></p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Purpose &amp; Key Accountabilities</span></p>\n<p>The Technician will focus on the daily operations of crane inspections, repairs, installation and preventive maintenance to ensure all equipment is in regulatory safety compliance.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><em>Responsibilities will include the following:</em></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Perform crane inspections, repairs, installations and respond to breakdowns</li>\n<li>Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts.</li>\n<li>Inspect hoists, cranes, systems, chain falls and pullers</li>\n<li>Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to determine extent of repairs required</li>\n<li>Test each crane repair for complete functionality.</li>\n<li>Troubleshoot industrial control systems and devices, interpret electrical schematics and code specification.</li>\n<li>Maintains and track assigned company tools.</li>\n<li>Maintain the assigned company truck and submit timely truck inspection reports and drivers logs as required.</li>\n<li>Complete Incident Reports and FLRA’s as required.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><br></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><em>Qualifications Education &amp; Experience</em></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Red Seal Electrician with strong industrial electrical experience</li>\n<li>Strong electrical trouble-shooting skills</li>\n<li>Strong hydraulic and mechanical skills</li>\n<li>A valid driver’s license and clean driving abstract</li>\n<li>This position requires working at heights, standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling, balancing, kneeling and crawling</li>\n<li>Overhead Crane Experience Min Of 6,000 Hours Experience</li>\n<li>VFD Trouble Shooting Experience A Plus</li>\n<li>Trouble Shooting Of Control Circuits Experience                        </li>\n<li>Overhead Crane Training.                                 </li>\n<li>Rigging, Manlift, Harness Training Experience.                                      </li>\n<li>Mechanically Inclined</li>\n<li>Experience with Stahl, Kone, P&amp;H, Demag, Kito, Yale, CM Hoists.</li>\n<li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively with clients as well as internally with operational personnel.</li>\n<li>Competent understanding of Company/Client procedures.</li>\n<li>Proven ability to multi-task and efficiently respond to changing priorities.</li>\n<li>Superior organizational and time management skills; ability to meet deadlines.</li>\n<li>Decision-making and problem-solving ability.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><br></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><em>Site Required Training</em></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><em>CSTS/OSSA or BSO equivalent</em></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><em>Ossa Fall Arrest</em></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><em>Evaluated Work Platform (EWP)</em></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><em>Trade Certificate</em></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><em>10, 000 hours Crane Experience</em></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><em>Valid Class 5 Drivers License &amp; Clean Driving Record</em></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><em>IRATA – Rope Access Training Level 1 (have qualification or be willing to qualify)</em></span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">About Mikisew Group</span></p>\n<p>Since 1991, Mikisew Group has been a leading Oilsands partner specializing in site services, maintenance, logistics and construction.
