    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>AMERICAN SYSTEMS is an employee-owned federal government contractor supporting national priority programs through our strategic solutions in the areas of Information Technology, Test & Evaluation, Program Mission Support, Engineering & Analysis, and Training.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Develop software in LabVIEW programming environment for sensor acquisition and actuator control systems.</li>\n <li>Design, develop, document, test and debug application software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions for onboard ship and submarine research.</li>\n <li>Collaborate with equipment designers and hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of National Instruments data acquisition modules and LabVIEW software.</li>\n <li>Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.</li>\n <li>Conduct Independent Verification and Validation of existing LabVIEW software at customer site in West Bethesda, MD.</li>\n <li>Conduct testing with actual system hardware and document test results.</li>\n <li>Some travel (< 5%) required to customer test sites for software system installation, checkout, operation, and troubleshooting.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>#recruitingsurge</p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Active Secret clearance desired or the ability to obtain a Secret clearance.</li>\n <li>U.S. Citizenship Required for the purposes of obtaining/holding a U.S. security clearance</li>\n <li>B.S. degree in Engineering, Science, Computer Science, Applied Math, or closely related field.</li>\n <li>Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience developing LabVIEW software.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Pay Transparency Statement</h2>AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $100,000.00/Yr. - USD $135,000/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
