Description
The Lutheran Home is seeking an experienced professional for the HVAC and Equipment Maintenance position. This role is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and monitoring HVAC units as well as various equipment and appliances across our healthcare community. The individual evaluates the viability of repairing equipment versus replacement while performing preventative maintenance and troubleshooting mechanical issues. Success in this role requires a commitment to our values of service, excellence, dignity, fulfillment, grace, and stewardship while helping ensure a comfortable, safe, and pleasant environment for our residents, families, and coworkers.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Performing routine HVAC maintenance including inspections, filter changes, and system checks Diagnosing and repairing HVAC systems and related mechanical equipment Installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical components, piping, and refrigeration systems Testing system performance and checking for leaks or faulty connections Repairing and maintaining facility appliances such as refrigerators, stoves, dishwashers, fryers, and ovens Replacing worn or defective parts including belts, bearings, switches, and wiring Installing HVAC components such as compressors, condensers, and control valves Ordering materials and maintaining records of repairs and maintenance activities Evaluating equipment to determine whether repair or replacement is the best solution Supporting general maintenance needs across Lutheran Home properties Schedule Full-time | Typically Monday – Friday | Day shift hours
