This is a hands-on technical role in a fast-paced industrial environment where precision, attention to detail, and problem-solving matter every day. Compensation & Schedule Starting Wage: $22.00/hour Night Shift Premium: Additional $1.30/hour Schedule: Rotating 3-2-2-3 schedule (3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off) Shift Time: Nights: 4:45 PM – 5:00 AM What You’ll Do In this role, you will support laboratory operations, quality systems, and process improvement initiatives throughout the casthouse operation. Key responsibilities include: Perform laboratory testing, sample preparation, and analysis to support billet and slab casthouse operations Operate and maintain laboratory equipment including spectrometers, optical microscopes, CNC machines, heat treat ovens, testing equipment, and material preparation tools Accurately document, report, and maintain product and process records to support traceability, quality standards, and compliance requirements Support manufacturing process improvement, statistical monitoring, and quality assurance initiatives across Production and Metallurgical teams Maintain laboratory procedures, work instructions, Measurement Assurance documentation, and ISO-related records Perform preventative maintenance on laboratory equipment and assist in maintaining clean, safe, and organized work areas Train and support team members on laboratory equipment, testing procedures, and safe work practices Assist with general laboratory operations including material handling and fork truck operation as needed What We’re Looking For We’re looking for detail-oriented individuals who are motivated to learn, take ownership of their work, and thrive in a technical manufacturing environment. Basic Qualifications High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution Ability to safely use cutting and grinding equipment including saws, grinders, sanders, and related tools Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Ability to work safely in an industrial laboratory and manufacturing environment Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline Prior laboratory or manufacturing testing experience Mechanical aptitude and computer proficiency Experience operating a Spectrometer and Optical Microscope Ability to learn and safely operate small machine tools and fork trucks Experience supporting quality systems and process improvement initiatives Familiarity with statistical monitoring and process capability methods Why Join EGA Spectro Alloys?
