Preferred</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Valid and in State Valid Driver's License. Preferred</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>EXPERIENCE</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience as a custodian. Preferred</li>\n <li>Familiarity with automated cleaning equipment. Preferred</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>ABILITIES AND SKILLS</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to read, write, and interpret instructions. Required</li>\n <li>Possession of a valid driver's license. Preferred</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Dispose of trash.</li>\n <li>Clean common living space including appliances.</li>\n <li>Empty cigarette urns and clean as necessary.</li>\n <li>Sweep, dust mop, and wet mop areas.</li>\n <li>Vacuum and shampoo carpeted areas.</li>\n <li>Clean fountains, ashtrays, and blackboards.</li>\n <li>Dust and/or wash areas requiring same.</li>\n <li>Clean bathrooms to include all sinks, counters, toilets, showers, mirrors, and replenish supplies.</li>\n <li>Clean restrooms and replenish supplies.</li>\n <li>Wash windows and door glass.</li>\n <li>Clean laundry rooms to include washers and dryers, sinks, and counters.</li>\n <li>Clean Police guard areas.</li>\n <li>Clean apartments at the end of each semester or when vacated.</li>\n <li>Strip and refinish floors and maintain all types of floor surfaces.</li>\n <li>Sweep stairs and stairwells and wash same.</li>\n <li>Remove ice and snow from stairs, entrances, and walks.</li>\n <li>Wash walls, window ledges, woodwork, furnishings; remove graffiti.</li>\n <li>Replace light bulbs and tubes; clean light fixtures.</li>\n <li>Keep area stocked with cleaning supplies; submit supply and repair requisitions to Supervisor.</li>\n <li>Check exterior areas for trash, broken glass, etc., and clean up as necessary.</li>\n <li>Keep housekeeping equipment clean and perform minor repairs on same.</li>\n <li>Respond to calls requesting clean up as needed.</li>\n <li>When leaving buildings, responsible for seeing that buildings are properly secured.</li>\n <li>Perform minor repairs of housekeeping equipment.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>May direct activities of work study students.</li>\n <li>Set up areas for special events as requested.</li>\n <li>Function as an attendant at special College events.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Physical Standards and Special Job Features</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Exposure to dust and harsh chemicals in performing duties.</li>\n <li>Lifting of 65 lbs. maximum, without assistance, with frequent lifting and carrying of objects up to 50 lbs.</li>\n <li>May require travel between buildings during shift.</li>\n <li>May require climbing or working from ladders and scaffolding.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Pay Transparency</h2>$15.98 per hour.\n<h2>College Statement</h2>\n<p>This is not a complete itemization of all facets of this position.
