All games played at the newly renovated Mid America Sports Complex on synthetic turf fields.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Johnson County Parks & Recreation District (JCPRD) is looking for a personable and dependable applicant to join our team as a Softball Official at the Mid-America Sports Complex.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>· Work hours are available Sunday - Thursday, 4 - 20 hours per week with a flexible work schedule.</p>\n<p>· <strong>Earn $27.00 per game (55-minute games).</strong></p>\n<p>· We facilitate Men's Rec, Competitive, Co-Ed Rec and Co-Ed Competitive.</p>\n<p>· We supply umpire shirts.</p>\n<p>· We are looking for individuals who have communication skills, can do conflict resolution while remaining calm, and make decisions in sometime high-pressure situations.</p>\n<p>· We will train qualified candidates.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>If you enjoy Softball and would just like to earn extra $$ as well as looking for a fun job in a competitive, recreational environment then JCPRD could very well be the right fit for you!</p>\n<h2>Job Requirements</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Minimum age is 18 years and older.</li>\n <li>Working knowledge of the game of Softball or willing to learn.</li>\n <li>Evening availability (Sunday – Thursday)</li>\n <li>Good communication skills - must be personable yet comfortable having authority.</li>\n <li>Must be reliable and punctual.</li>\n <li>Previous officiating or playing experience preferred but not required.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Job Overview</strong>:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Arrive early to athletic venue (15 minutes before game time).</li>\n <li>Officiate games to ensure that game rules are observed.</li>\n <li>Record scores.</li>\n <li>Provide the best environment and experience possible for all our patrons.</li>\n <li>Proudly represent JCPRD as a highly visible and accessible member of our team.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><em>JCPRD requires reference/background screening for all positions.
