Maintain and optimize electrical systems to ensure equipment efficiency. Perform scheduled preventative maintenance. Troubleshoot electrical motors, VFDs and Soft Starts and PLC systems. Install and commission electrical components (motor starters, conduit runs and Motor Control Centers). Understanding Ethernet communication and wiring standards. Respond promptly to maintenance requests from operations. Qualifications Education Required: Associate's Degree in Electrical Technology or an equivalent apprenticeship Years of Experience Preferred: 2-5 years of industrial maintenance experience Familiarity with PLCs and VFDs is an asset Willingness to work a rotating shift, including weekends with the opportunity of a fixed day or night shift Previous sawmill experience is considered an asset Ability to work independently and collaboratively Organization Irving Sawmills and Irving Forest Products are committed to delivering quality lumber products, strong customer relationships and service reliability, as well as operating safe and efficient operations.
