    "description": "<h2>Job Description</h2>\n<p>Pay range for this position is $30.048 - $33.36 per hour.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This is an experienced position to work in the Carpenter Trade.  Applicants may be assigned any C02 tasks, including but (not limited to):  Working with wood, aluminum, steel, or herculite to fabricate saw horses, ladders, steps, shipping containers, protective covers, and other items; shoring, jacking, and leveling of ship sections; installing fabricated furniture items and joiner doors on ships; installing temporary wooden decking panels; line handling to support ship float-off, sea trials, and inclining evolutions; conducting weight and pull tests using various types of rigging equipment.</p>\n<h2>Required/Preferred Education/Training</h2>\n<p>Preferred:</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> - High School Diploma or GED </p>\n<p>- 2 or more years of Trade/Technical schooling</p>\n<h2>Required/Preferred Experience</h2>\n<p>Required:</p>\n<p> - Ability to read a measuring tape.</p>\n<p>- basic math skills.- the ability to work with hand tools as well as power tools, band saws, table saws, planers, and lathes.- the ability to climb stairs and ladders and work on staging or in a condo lift.- experience reading blueprints. </p>\n<p>- 2 or more years working in a relevant trade.</p>\n<p>- prior boatswain’s mate / coxswain experience. Must be able to meet the requirements of the Physical Task Analysis.</p>\n<p> </p>",
