The&nbsp;<strong>Bluebonnet Detention Center&nbsp;in&nbsp;Anson,&nbsp;TX</strong>&nbsp;is looking for your compassionate care and expertise in our medical department! Our dedicated staff work to improve lives through education, healthcare, and a variety of support services.</p>\n     <p><strong>What you’ll do:</strong> &nbsp;You’ll be responsible for planning and implementing mental health services in the facility. You’ll provide mental health services to noncitizens in compliance with MTC Medical and customer directives.</p>\n     <p><strong>Essential Functions:</strong> &nbsp;</p>\n     <ol>\n      <li>Develop and implement treatment and therapeutic programs for identified noncitizens.</li>\n      <li>Assist in managing the noncitizens population including the application of crisis intervention techniques to include suicide prevention, recognizing abnormal behavior, and taking appropriate action to prevent or diffuse potentially disruptive situations.</li>\n      <li>Conduct assessment and evaluations to determine needs, establish goals and develop plans; make referrals to other professionals for other services.</li>\n      <li>Document all patient encounters in the medical record accurately, legibly and promptly.</li>\n      <li>Provide direct casework services and individual and group counseling to noncitizens.</li>\n      <li>Prepare progress reports; provide recommendations regarding discharge plans; make case presentations; and assist administrative and medical staff in development of statistical reports on assigned noncitizens.</li>\n      <li>Maintain and monitor confidentiality of noncitizens and their files; audit files to determine that all services provided are documented; review status of detainees to determine that all treatment and therapeutic programs are completed.</li>\n      <li>Screen requests for non-medical records and appropriately approve or disapprove responses following policy and procedures.</li>\n      <li>Attend scheduled staff meetings; promote communication and the proper flow of relevant information between administration, staff and detainees.</li>\n      <li>Attend seminars, workshops, conferences, and so forth, as required.</li>\n      <li>Maintain current cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification; perform CPR in emergencies.</li>\n      <li>Regular attendance is required.</li>\n      <li>Promote the development of positive social skills through modeling appropriate behaviors and intervening when inappropriate behaviors are observed; provide regular feedback to staff regarding social skills procedures and intervention techniques.</li>\n      <li>Maintain accountability of detainees and property; adhere to safety practices.</li>\n     </ol>\n     <p><strong>Education and Experience Requirements:</strong></p>\n     <p>Master’s degree in marriage and family therapy, psychology or counseling or clinical social work required. Current license in counseling specialty (LPC, LISW, LMFT, etc.). Two (2) years’ previous work experience preferred. Must successfully complete required preservice training.
