Then make AIT Worldwide Logistics the next stop on your career ladder! </p>\n<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>The <strong>Operations Agent – Cruise Services</strong> is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day import/export of international freight forwarding shipments across air, road, and sea transportation based upon customer requests. He/she will provide special expertise in international cruise services operations.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Work with customers to qualify their shipping requirements and obtain all details (regulations, certificates, documentation) necessary for shipment quotation and operating in order to ensure the customer’s request is satisfied.</li>\n <li>Prepare profitable quotations accurately.</li>\n <li>Prepare waybills and customs documentation (in collaboration with the customs department)</li>\n <li>Accepting and booking shipments and handling of cross-trade shipments</li>\n <li>Coordinate air, sea, and road transport shipments</li>\n <li>Provide suitable transport options and creative solutions when obstacles arise</li>\n <li>Maintaining contact with the warehouse, customers, carriers, stevedores, shipping agents, hubs, airlines, and shipping companies</li>\n <li>Partner with local sales teams to communicate problems to customers, international partners, and other stations, as needed.</li>\n <li>Ensure all customers’ SOP instructions are adhered to and AIT KPIs and guidelines are followed and met.</li>\n <li>Ensure all shipments are properly billed within company guidelines and timelines.</li>\n <li>Process and comply with all requirements listed by regulatory agencies.</li>\n <li>Network with corresponding departments to ensure files are billed and posted prior to end of month.</li>\n <li>Continuous learning through required compliance training and certifications of software and/or regulations.</li>\n <li>Other duties and responsibilities will be assigned as business demands deem necessary.</li>\n <li>Execute all Dangerous Goods shipments in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations (as applicable).</li>\n <li>Contribute actively to a healthy and secure work environment by reporting unsafe / unsecure / unhealthy conditions and possible improvements.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>MBO / HBO education level</li>\n <li><strong>Fluent Dutch and and communicative English is a must</strong></li>\n <li><strong>At least 3 years of relevant work experience (logistics field)</strong></li>\n <li>Familiarity with logistics, customs, and relevant legislation required</li>\n <li>Attention to detail and a problem solving attitude</li>\n <li>Flexible and eager to learn, with the willingness to take courses or follow trainings as required</li>\n <li>Strong PC skills (Windows, Microsoft Office applications) preferred</li>\n <li>Cargo Wise Software experience a plus</li>\n <li>ITAR, Dangerous Goods or TSA work experience / regulations is a plus</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>What AIT Can Offer You</h2>We believe in rewarding your talent and supporting your growth.
