Overview
Adastra is looking for a Business Analyst who turns complex enterprise data into clear, actionable solutions. You’ll map data flows, define requirements, and collaborate with business and technical teams to make sure reporting and analytics truly deliver value. If you enjoy solving complex problems with data and shaping how teams make decisions, this role puts you at the center of it all.

Work Model: Hybrid 3-Days Onsite

Compensation Range: $53,000 - $63,000 CAD
RESPONSIBILITIES
Elicit, gather, and document business and technical requirements for data-driven projects
Produce functional and non-functional business requirements, solution specifications, and workflow/process documentation
Analyze enterprise data and identify sources to support reporting, analytics, and data warehouse initiatives
Create and maintain Source-to-Target Mapping (STM) documents for data warehouse / data mart projects
Document the flow and transformation of data from source systems to Data Warehouse/Data Marts and from Data Warehouse/Data Marts to downstream applications
Collaborate with business sponsors, technology teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure delivered solutions meet business intent and provide value
Perform data profiling and analysis using SQL to validate data, derive complex business logic, and support reporting/analytics needs
Assist with user acceptance testing (UAT), data validation, and other quality assurance activities
Coordinate with multiple teams, manage priorities, and handle ambiguous requirements effectively
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in Data Warehouse / Data Mart environments
Hands-on experience eliciting business requirements and producing functional/non-functional specifications
Strong SQL skills, with the ability to write complex queries for data extraction and analysis
Experience creating and maintaining Source-to-Target Mapping (STM) documents
Familiarity with enterprise applications and data management processes
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to translate ambiguous requirements into actionable outcomes
Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and documentation skills
Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams with both business and technical groups
Strong organization, coordination, and time management skills
NICE TO HAVE
Experience with call center or customer data environments
Familiarity with data governance, compliance, or security standards in analytics projects
Experience with BI tools beyond Power BI, such as Tableau or Looker
Exposure to Agile project delivery and tools like Jira or Confluence
Understanding of business system architecture and enterprise application integrations
Ability to perform data modeling or advanced analytics to support reporting and decision-making
