With plans to launch our aircraft in the US and Dubai, we're now scaling manufacturing and preparing for the launch of our commercial service.</p>\n<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>Joby Aviation is seeking a Detail-oriented and passionate electro-mechanical technician to join our powertrain team and help build flight-critical components for our VTOL electric aircraft. The Joby Aviation team is made up of extremely talented, hardworking, proactive, and hands-on individuals, operating in a very fast-paced and rewarding</p>\n<p>environment. Come help us build advanced electrical powertrains as we try to make a mark in the transportation industry.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>    ● Work closely with engineering to develop and build our latest hardware</p>\n<p>    ● Assemble hardware for use on test stands or on aircraft while maintaining associated documentation. This will involve mechanical assembly of parts and sub-systems, etc</p>\n<p>    ● Develop assembly methods and tools on quickly developing designs</p>\n<p>    ● Perform basic troubleshooting and testing of electromechanical assemblies</p>\n<p>    ● Build test setups for R&D labs and perform hardware characterization tests</p>\n<h2>Required</h2>\n<p>    ● Previous experience as NPI (new product introduction) or engineering technician</p>\n<p>    ● Perform soldering of through hole and larger pitch components</p>\n<p>    ● Harness fabrication and electronic rework</p>\n<p>    ● Experience with industrial environments and procedures</p>\n<p>    ● Experience working on high voltage systems and/or complex electromechanical systems</p>\n<p>    ● Experience writing and following work instructions</p>\n<p>    ● Proficiency with machining, Mill & Lath mid level, welding, and overall mechanical craftsmanship</p>\n<p>    ● Experience with instrumentation</p>\n<p>    ● Familiarity with CAD and reading engineering drawings</p>\n<p>    ● 4 years hands on lab experience or R&D environments</p>\n<p>    ● Well rounded in all levels of communication, collaboration with engineering to troubleshoot and refine test setups</p>\n<p>    ● 20% travel required between San Carlos, Santa Cruz, Marina, and Concord, CA</p>\n<h2>Desired</h2>\n<p>    ● General understanding of electronic components and circuit principles</p>\n<p>    ● Basic circuit knowledge (Ohm's law, reading R, L, C values, current limits)</p>\n<p>    ● Ability to read electrical schematics, wire harness drawings and assembly drawings</p>\n<p>    ● Experience working with basic electrical test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and power supplies</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Additional Information</h2>\n<p>Compensation at Joby is a combination of base pay and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
